TTC/Preg ___ Mon July 14

Maggie--Your poor feet! I totally sympathize. I always swell in late pregnancy, and I look like I was born without ankles when I get home from the hospital. One thing I found that helps is elevating my ankles above my heart. (I lay on the sofa and put two throw pillows under them.) Also, keeping cool really helps. Glad you're staying off your feet!

Kate--glad you're enjoying resting up! Everyone needs a vacation --especially us pregger women! As for Sam's. It's kind of a trade-off. Yes, I save money on formula (I don't breast feed.) And diapers are cheaper (we buy the Sam's brand). And, I just bought a huge pack of 40 Capri Suns (which Oliver drinks at school) for a really good deal. I also use coupons and shop store sales (saved $30 at the grocery store yesterday too), but I just check out the ads and only buy at Sam's what I know I can't beat at the store. Plus, DH and DSs love Sam's big pretzels, and we eat and stroll through the store. In fact, they have always known it as "The Pretzel Store." LOL

Susan--Have fun in Nashville!! Do you have family/friends here? I am really glad to be back. I left for college and never came back until we had the opportunity to move back about a year and a half ago. We love it here.

Mikkia--Yeah, 3 hours of walking was quite a workout, but I wasn't speed walking. I had my 3 year old's pace. AND, I can't quite take too much credit for it. I was also shopping at outlet stores, and I'd walk for 8 hours straight for some good sales :).

I walked for 20 min at 2.5 mph pace. I was very careful! Felt good to have my ipod on and moving again. I chose Bosten to listen to today.
Stephanie- My dad lived in Nashville for 20 something years before he retired and my dh worked for him for 3 years. We lived in Smyrna and that is where I met our good friends that still live there. Our dd's are the same age and keep in touch weekly. My friend recently had her 4th child, so Im excited about seeing her. I cant believe how much Smyrna has grown. We moved just before the started working on the hospital and there wasnt much there.
 
Susan, Is the whole fam going on vacation to TN? Will it be hard for you to see a new baby? (((hugs))) I know when we were TTC Gina it killed me to see pg ladies/new babies. I love that you're here with us.

Hope DS has fun at wrestling camp! FYI - jalapenos usually work for me too. If I'm having problems I make a batch of homemade salsa and it gets things movin' along in no time flat!

Stephanie, I'll be hitting an outlet store some time this week. There really isn't much there but they do have Gap and OldNavy so I should be able to do plenty of damage!!

We ended up doing mini-golf and out to lunch. Isabel and I just got done showering from being on the beach. Gina and Mike wanted to stay out longer so Isabel is watching cartoons (yes, again!) and I'm kickin' back here! We'll go out to eat in a while.

Yes, we are all going. We go a few times a year and they come to see us too. No, it wont bother me to see the baby..don't know why. Im excited for them and looking forward to holding her a lot! Like I said its her 4th..she has Avery, Aidan, Atticus and now Abbey.
I truly want another child. I should of started ttc years ago...I don't really even know why we waited. I know my age is a disadvantage and I will try a bit longer. I am so lucky to have dd though...so I have to feel fortunate to have her.

I keep thinking about Anne. Shouldnt she be able to test this week? Oh I pray she is pregnant!

Melanie-are you still relaxing??
 
Susan--I love those names!! Atticus is especially great. I agree with Kate that you have such a great attitude. You are a wonderful mommy, and I'm sure that you'll be blessed again! :)

So, I was doing some work downstairs this afternoon, and I heard some uncontrollable giggling, and I came upstairs and my 3 year old was buck naked dancing in front of the window. Can you say, "M-O-R-T-I-F-I-E-D"!!!! He all of a sudden has this fascination with stripping. I truly think that three is the new two. x( So needless to say, once he clothed himself, he went to the corner and my oldest son went to his room for laughing at/encouraging him. Now I'm trying to finish cleaning so we can FINALLY go outside and play before the sun is all gone.

Hope everyone is doing well! Wish I were on vacation too, Kate!!!!
 
Wow, active group we are today.

My minivan FINALLY got towed to dealership---$350 later and AFTER they closed! I could strangle them!!! Now our tires will be postponed another day b/c they can't order them. They are "no flat" tires--no spare in the van. Kind of an oxymoran b/c one went flat and left DH stranded. Long story, I hope the van is fixed by Friday for my trip to St Cloud---I'm planning on driving my little car anyway, but I don't want to leave DH and babies stranded w/o a vehicle.

I did take a 2 hr nap today, then took kids to park. I'm exhausted today though, and could have taken another nap. Oh well.

Kate, you are beautifull. Flaunt that wonderfully round belly with pride!!!!

Stephanie, no strippers here! However, when we lived in Milwaukee, on a major highway, I made the mistake of forgetting a towel & clothes when getting out of the shower. Let's just say I had an audience outside my window as I ran to my bedroom!

Maggie, hugs on the swollen feet. I remember with Justin my feet were super poofy. We all just looked and laughed at my alien feet! How many Colace (docusate) have you tried? I've taken up to 3 at a time to get things moving. You certainly don't want to use an enema this late in your pg---but maybe senna if your doc says it's okay. Sure is tempting to forgo those vitamins, eh?

Mikkia, when is your next u/s?

Susan, sssssllllllllloooooooooooowwwwwwwww with the moving around! Your neck was cut open! Major stuff here. Take it easy.

I'm off to work tomorrow. :( These long days are tough on me & the kids. I"m looking forward to maternity leave!!!!!! LOVE maternity leaves!!!!

Hi ladies,
The kids were acting so bad that I told DH when he got home that I was working out, and I went to our room and worked out for an hour. It was SO nice. I'm in a much better mood now. I did the Jari Love Get Ripped to the Core again sans the abs and with a little modification. I lifted heavier today too, and it felt really good. It was good "therapy." :)

Hi,
The dentist was not bad. We waited for about 10 minutes before my DS was called back, so we played with blocks. The dentist put Spongebob on the tv (that is on the ceiling) for DS to watch while he checked his teeth. Forget that, DS was way interested in the dentist's tools that were connected to the chair. Anyway, he did open his mouth long enough for the dentist to look inside. That's all that happened today b/c he started to cry a tiny bit and the dentist didn't want him to be scared of him or the office. He said his teeth were fine, then he gave him a balloon and a Spongebob toothbrush. Man, when I was little and my mouth was filled with cavities, my dentist didn't even allow parents to go back with children. And t.v.'s on the ceiling?? There was no such thing!

I did do Squeeze this morning, after a night of no sleep. DS was up from 3:30-5:00 for no reason, and I couldn't get back to sleep. I had a 1-hour prenatal massage today, and it was heavenly!!!

Kate-It seems like you are having a blast!

Mikkia-My DS got a mild case of ch. pox too (after he had the vaccine). It is required for Kindergarten here in PA, too.

Susan-I am glad you did manage to get a nap today. I hope your pain goes away soon. DD will be so stinking excited to get that doll!!!

Melanie-Wow, you're getting a papsmear on your birthday (woo-hoo!). What a birthday treat! I can't wait to hear how appt. goes.

Maggie-I am so glad to be done with class. The next one will begin in the end of October, so I have a nice break. We go to Costco too b/c it's about 1 mile away. We used to go to Sam's, but that was about 20 minutes away, so really not worth it.

Stephanie-I think you can find great baby deals in bulk too! I did find pull-ups cheaper, though at Target with a coupon. Those club houses are so cool. My DH and DF built Andy one for his birthday, but we went the more thifty route at Home Depot. The ones at Costco are REALLY nice!!!! Enjoy! I know I like to swing.

Kristan and Morris, how you are doing? How are the babies?

Hey guys,
We just got done playing poker...not with money of course just chips. I told my Nana that Haley learned and she was like omg..I hope she doesnt get addicted etc etc. Bad mom I am! Haley gave me a makeover then we played "What Not To Wear" and she went in my closet and acted like she threw out everything..saying it looked "grandma like" HA
Melanie-being without a car sucks. Hope you get it worked out quick. I was very careful walking today. Walking is encouraged..not working out walking..but slow and easy and thats all I did. Promise! Get some good sleep tonight so you'll feel good for work. I go for my post-op appt next Tuesday so Im hoping to be cleared for some power walking.

Jen-my poor dd is so used to the dentist it doesnt bother her at all. Because she nursed so long she had to have I think 6 back teeth crowned with those silver teeth. The last one just fell out a couple months ago. I have a mouth full of fillings, had 6 teeth pulled and braces for 3 years..so did her dad..so she's in for it most likely.

Stephanie-so glad you got a good workout in. I know you feel better!!

Kate-I guess you are still having a great time!!!!!!
 
Hi ladies,
Just a quick post before I head to bed! Sounds like some people are having a lot of fun on the beach! I got a great workout in today, did some 'Kick, Punch, Crunch' with hand weights today. Felt good to get up a good sweat! I was dripping when I was done.

Melanie - Good luck at your first u/s!

Kate - Don't even worry about those girls in bikini's. I'm sure I can only hope I could look like you when I get pregnant!

Still waiting on AF to show sometime Thurs or Friday. Attaching my chart if anyone is interested. It's weird...my temps are up, down, up, down and all over the place. I tested on 11DPO and BFN, so just going to wait until AF shows now. Don't want the rejection!
