TTC/ Moms to be Check in Dec 30th

Jen, cyberhugs coming your way. [hugs][hugs] Also sending lots of prayers too, b/c girlfriend, we all need them!!! If it makes any difference b/w DH & myself there are eight siblings and we aren't close to any of them. I don't know what makes the closeness; however, I've been praying for my little bambinos before they were even born that they would be the best of friends, so we'll see...for now they fight like dogs and cats!!!!

(((((((HUGS))))))))) for Jen! I know how you feel. You think that you'll be okay then AF shows and you're so bummed. I think closeness between siblings can happen despite age. My kids are 3 years apart and they're close, but if and when we have a third, this child will be at least 6 years apart from my youngest and 9 years apart from my oldest. DH's dad has 7 siblings and they're all close so I don't think age plays a huge factor. I think how you raise them and interact them will make a difference.

Morris - I kept meaning to ask you how far are you now?

Melanie - Are you still on clomid?

Lisa,

I did one cycle of clomid (last cycle). I'm not due for AF until next Thursday (I think). Remember that DH had projectile vomiting on the day of peak ovulation for us? Anyway, I don't think anything happened.

I won't do another cycle at this time. I was SUPER depressed at least one day & felt bloated and yucky in general for at least a week. The side effects didn't peak until day 10 or so. I"m the kinda gal who can't take oral contraceptives very well, so I shouldn't be too suprised about clomid. If nothing happens by April, I think I'll reconsider for our last three months. Are you considering clomid?

hi all

should probably start a new post but am too lazy. hope this finds everyone well.

lisa, are you thinking of clomid?

mel, i am really hoping af stays away. how are you feeling overall? how is work these days, and the mayo consult?

i am now 16 weeks, or 4 months, as i like to say, b/c that sounds farther along:) my body feels like it changed overnight! i was so sluggish this morning. i ended up doing scrambled eggs, and it kicked my butt. later i am planing gym styles bsb. we will see. the great thing is dh comes home tonight. we cannot wait. plus, we will have a huge warm up in temps the next few days, so i plan to hit the roads while i can. i have been working out everyday, always cardio, adding in gym styles somedays. overall feeling good, but today am depressed and sluggish. yesterday, i cried 4 times, for no apparent reason. guess things really are changing. we have our quad screen this friday, and my big ultrasound is scheduled for january 29th - i cannot wait!

i will be back later and will start a new thread then. right now i hear ds waking.

Morris, I am firm AGAINST quad screen. Of course, it is totally up to you. When I was pg with Justin it was a "triple screen" and it came up "positive" for increase risk of downs syndrome. I did research on it, to find that there are a tremendous amount of false positives with the screen. We drove two hours a way to have a Level 2 u/s done, it came back normal,...but the only way to know was amnio or wait it out. We waited it out, but I really feel like the councern I had throughout the rest of my pg robbed me of alot of joy. Anywho, the choice is yours, and many women have it done as it is considered "routine".
