I was just wondering if there was a TTC check-in or if there ever was one since I know that this is technincally a pregnancy forum. Would anyone be interested in starting one?

I think that is a great idea, there are so many women TTC. I"m not 'officially' TTC...but would be thrilled if it happend (does that mean I am TTC?)!>!>!?!?!?

Melanie,

I thought, oh okay, nobody who works out here is trying to have a baby. I just thought it would be nice to have a check-in for those TTC, officially or unofficially. ;-) Wow, 3 kids and willing for one more! You go girl. I am hoping for a third and that would be our last. I just wanted to make sure I stay focused on my workouts and eating before, during, and after pregnancy. I hope to lose maybe 3-5 pounds before getting pregnant, but I'd be okay either way. Yes, I'd love to start a check-in.

This will be my "tick tock" baby. I'll be 34 this year and DH will be 44. I'm fairly certain this will be our last one, with 3 boys now..perhaps a girl is in our future? 4 boys would be a blessing...especailly when they're so healthy!

So, are you TTC now, or are you just letting nature take it's course? I"m still nursing Jadon, but not using protection. I probably won't conceive until I back off nursing...but anything is possible. It took 6 mos to conceive first two boys & I was nursing 2nd baby when we conceived boy 3 (I did have one period in between).

I just recently gained 5 lbs, and was going to try to eat clean AGAIN! I'm a Mt Dew freak and am looking to finish my current supply and then go on a sugar-cleansing again! Urgh!!!

Melanie,

Oh my gosh, me too! I'm turning 34 this year also and I told DH that it's this year or never because I don't want to go past 35. I have one boy, one girl so whatever comes next is fine.

I am in the "cleaning out" stage after getting off of bc pills. It's been a month and a half of that and I was going to start the temping and everything, but been so busy that I haven't started yet. I actually just wanted to wait and see what happens in the beginning instead of getting too freakish with the when am I o'ing thing.

I would love to lose 3-5 lbs before getting pregnant. I'm really trying on not relying on the scale so much because I know I've been lifting more and my clothes fit fine. I would like to get rid of some of my belly before getting pregnant though. So I'm actually supposed to be doing B&G right now, but here I am on the computer so I better get to it!

Lisa

No, Mel, I am not ttc, but just wanted to chime in. I was 35 when I had Ashley. I got pregnant quicker with AShley than with Alexis and had an easy pregnancy/labor. Wow, looking to have #4.Lisa good luck!

I'll be in eventually. DH and I will be trying for our first in September. I'm 30, have been on the pill for 13 yrs and really have no idea what to expect. So I look forward to posting out here once we get going!

Yes this will be great! I've been off BC pills for about 2 wks now and we will be "officially" trying in about 2 wks. I'm soooo scared b/c this will be our first. I'm 25 and DH is 33 So many things we just dont know what we're getting ourselves into. :)

I guess I'll start a new weekly thread starting next Sunday/Monday and do that every week so the threads don't get too long.

I'm excited to get to know each of you and see where our TTC journey takes us. And not to forget, helping each other stay on top of working out and eating well! I'll probably do a brief info. list later so we know who's who. I'm at work right now so I'll try doing it later tonight.

Lisa

Thank you Lisa! I have 2 more Mountain Dews in my fridge, then I'm going to eat healthier again!!! Hee Hee Hee. I wonder how many times I"ll say at phrase in my life. On a positive note, it's a lot better than saying, "I only have two more lines of cocaine, then I'll be clean". }( }( I should clarify that Mountain Dew is my ONLY addiction (no drugs, booze,or smokes) ;)

Okay, I lied, I'll do the info. thing later because I'm going to workout (despite really just wanting to sleep), bathe (yeah, another neccesity), and sleep.

Melanie - Well, wine is my weakness although I don't drink too often. And I had chocolate ice cream tonight. Yes, I know how bad it is, but it was soooooooo good. I haven't had a Mountain Dew in years. I'm not much of a soda person, but soda seems so much less fattening than ice cream. x(

Heather - Good luck on TTC! Your first round too! Have fun! This will actually be my fourth pregnancy because I miscarried last May with our 3rd at 12 weeks. Do you have any plans on temping or anything like that or just waiting and see?

melimcn - Good luck! Hope to see you around Sept!

Lisa

I'm not planning on temps or mucous changing....although I may use family planning method for contraceptive after 4th child (if fortunate enough to conveive fourth).
I just bought a pg test tonight...I've been having some breast tenderness & mucous changes. We'll see!!!!

OMG. It's positive!!! It's so fun to have internet friends that I can share before I even tell DH!!! ;) I feel so naughty telling you guys first. Now, I just took one of the tests...I have no idea how far along I am or anything b/c I've been nursing all along and haven't had my period for 4 years...I suppose it'll be longer now!!!

My dear babies (1 and 3) have been a real handful lately...so I'm going to have to delicately wait to tell DH until a real good day comes along (DH is a stay at home Dad, so it affects him more than other Dads)!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Did you tell DH yet? Oh my gosh, you need to send some of your fertile baby dust my way! LOL! That's cool that DH is a stay-at-home dad. So when is your dr. appointment?

Lisa

I just wanted to share with all you gals...this is a REAL effective check in. It works super fast. :D :D

No, I haven't told my husband yet. I have to wait for the right time. He's going to be shocked.

I have an appointment for my annual gyn appointment on April 4th...I will probably wait until then to tell my DH. Do you think I can wait that long? I'll probably need an u/s soon to confirm dates, I'm thinking I"m only 5 weeks along. :)

Melanie,

You're totally patient! I am so not good at keeping secrets and waiting. Although I know early on there's not much the dr. can do anyway, but I would be so curious to know how far along I was just because you don't know your LMP. If you know your body, then I wouldn't think waiting three more weeks would be that big of a deal. Although, what are you going to do about the Mountain Dew addiction???!!!!?? :D

Lisa

I think this is a 15-year anniversary baby. ;) We had an amazing connection that night. ;) My symptoms are pretty consistent with being around 5 weeks along. It will be interesting to see what u/s shows though. Wouldn't it be absolutely amazing if I were like 4 months?!?!?!? That only happens to OTHER women!!!

The mountain dew supply is gone. :( I'll taper myself off...just one beverage/day for a couple of days then phase out completely. I now have more inspiration!

Oh, as far as ob appts go. With my 2nd, my 1st appt was around 13 weeks, with my 3rd it was closer to 15 weeks!!! There really isn't a big hurry to get in there. ;)

my goodness, look at what happens when you don't stay current?!?! melanie, i am so so excited for you! i saw this post a while back and didn't think too much of it though i would love to be pregnant right now (so am i ttc?). i started reading b/c of all the activity, and lo and behold, you are pregnant! that is truly wonderful.

i would like to join the ttc checkin, though i am not too optimistic anything will happen yet. i am nursing my 8.5month old full time and plan to until he is 1yr. i had a hard time ttc my little guy and felt so blessed when it did happen, but we did end up using injectable hormones to help us along as i didn't cycle. i am hoping my body kicks into gear on its own when i wean my little one. i will be 31 this summer.

a checkin may motivate me to clean up my diet more and keep up with exercise, though diet is usally my downfall more than exercise.

melanie, i guess you will have to forego your mountain dew a bit sooner what a great reason to do so. i would never be patient enough to wait until april:)

Thank you Morris!
