TTC check-in April 1

Morris, are you out of electricity b/c of a winter storm? Yuk. April snow storms are just not fair! I ALWAYS feel icky when I don't get my workouts in. Hang in there...and either hit the hills running or put in Imax3 to kick your butt! Yeah!

FIVE days no Mountain Dew. My longest ever is 14 days. I went on Southbeach diet in Jan of last year, no white carbs...the cravings did go away at about day 5 or so. I felt so wonderful and healthy. I had the healthiest bowel movements too. Just healthy all-in-all. Once i get MDs undercontrol I will work on eating cleaner too. ;)

happy saturday everyone

our power is restored, and i did kpc and cardio only of boot camp yesterday. i did feel better after.

mel, great work with the mountain dew - are you mostly missing the caffine or sugar? someimtes i would so love a real cup of coffee - i haven't had one since just before i got pregnant. but, i don't want to get addicted again. i do drink black tea once a day though.

we are digging out from 15 inches of snow, and it is melting today in our balmy 40 degree weather. and in less than 2 weeks dh will be home! i cannot wait to run outside again. today we will take a nice walk though - it is sunny and i must take advantage of that.

happy easter to all who celebrate it!

I'm so glad your power is back Morris! Sorry about the snow and headaches that came along with it. Funny how working out can make you feel better. I'm glad DH is coming home soon!

I did GS BSB and 30 minutes of cardio yesterday. I think I'm going to do Kick Max today or if the weather stays cool (total opposite of Morris) I'm going running in the late afternoon/early evening. Then I'll probably do my pilates after that.

Autumn - Qx for you...how familiar are you with temping? I hope you're doing well.

So nasty AF is gone finally so here goes TTC for cycle #3. I'm not stressing about it though. I just want a healthy baby. I still have to get my kids' Easter baskets together. My ds wants a new light saber and Return of the Jedi. I never really celebrated Easter growing up so I always overlook it until I get reminded. I could go either way but the kids are looking forward to a basket of some sort.

Hope you guys have a great Saturday!

Lisa

Hi all,
Just checking in to say HI!

Morris - That storm sounded terrible. Hope it's getting back to normal. We actually have had very chilly winds and temps 20-30's here in Iowa. I was mowing the lawn the other day and then it started to snow. Never accumulated, but weird!

I was wondering how old everyone is here, if I can ask. I know everyone is different and that even younger people can have issues. I'm 37 and TTC my first and I know that's getting up there and the time when it gets to the point of getting difficult. DH and I have an appointment next week to see a specialist (RE) for the first time. I'm a little nervous, but happy to find out what might be wrong and what our options are.

I hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend! Hi to everyone, Melanie, Lisa, Autumn, Heather.

Hi ladies! Happy for morris and her power restorantion!!!!!:D

I charted temps for 3 years or so. I'll give your question a try.

Anne, I am 36. I was 29 when I got pregnant with my DD and 33 when I got pregnant with my DS.

Anne - I'm 33 going to be 34 in a few months. TTC #3. I had my ds at 26, dd at 28, and miscarried at 32 last May. I would like to give birth before I turn 35, but we'll see. I hope the RE will give you answers so you can get pg soon!

Autumn - I'm having a hard time understanding how to tell the fertile days just by the temp. chart. I'm going to do CM changes, but do you think an OPK is necessary with temping? It seems like it would go hand in hand, but I can't read the temp charts really well. There are soooo many variations. Here's the link to my chart. I just started.

The temps assist in identifying your infertile phase. You will need to use CM, cervical position, OPKs, and other signs to id the fertile days. The OPKs aren't necessary when observing CM; however, you may include them. Personally, I used it all. :)

Your are off to a great start charting! You will know much more when you have a complete cycle charted. I'll assist you as much as I can when it comes to interpreting your temps. Be patient, you'll get the hang of it.

Hi Lisa,
I've been temping on FF since December 2006. That site is really helpful. I suggest taking the charting course too if you can. I took a break this month, b/c it was getting too stressful. I found myself analyzing my temps every day and that 2 week wait after ovulation can be brutal. I use a monitor as well and my monitor was right on track with my temping, so I was happy with that. I'd give you a link to my charts, but since I've suspended my account, I can't go back on for 15 days. I would say just try not to make yourself crazy about trying to analyze the outcome each month! Hope that helps!

Thanks ladies for letting me know your ages! I feel so old TTC #1, but I still have hope. I don't regret starting this late as DH and I just weren't ready financially. We've been married since 2001. Hoping to make up for lost time!

Anne

I'm 33, will be 34 in a few months. My lifetime goal was to be done having kids by 35. I'm older now, and wiser, and not sure if that will happen. ;)
