trying to get answer to lack of equipment

Hi, this will probably be my third time trying to find out why some equipment is no longer for sale, ie. weighted vest, weighted gloves, and sts tower. The workouts that use these pieces of equipment are still for sale, however the equipment itself is not. I would like to know why, thank you.

I'm not Cathe, obviously, but I would assume either they didn't sell enough to make it profitable to carry them or they ran into some sort of supply problem with whoever was making the equipment. Comparable equipment is probably available elsewhere. You can probably get some good specific recommendations here if you ask.

Thanks for your input, I did find weighted gloves elsewhere but they aren't good, the zipper broke already so I thought I would buy Cathe's then realized she doesn't carry them. For the life of me I cannot find a squat rack though, but I will keep looking. I was just disappointed that Cathe doesn't have these items anymore, oh well, if that's my only worry these days, I'm doing pretty good! thanks again for responding!

Fitness equipment

We have just found selling fitness equipment to not be very profitable and to take up way too much storage room at our facility. Profit margins are very low nowadays in the fitness accessory business and many companies, like Altus that manufactured many of the products we use to sell are no longer in business. But you can find numerous other companies that sell similar products that you can use in our workouts. So, that really shouldn't be an issue.

I got almost all of my equipment for STS from other places. A bench with incline and a squat rack/bench press rack via Amazon (brands: Valor Fitness for the squat rack and Bow Flex for the bench). Barbells and plates through Dicks Sporting Goods. Weighted vest via Amazon. I did get my slide n glide plates and fire walkers from Cathe's site. Oh, I got my long step and high step via Target and extra risers from Amazon. My daughter got me Cathe's weighted gloves for Christmas last year but I have no idea where she bought them. I did send her the link from Cathe's website when she asked me what I wanted.

Everything I've gotten has served me well--I am in my second round of STS.

I was told by an employee Altus went out of business because the owner retired and refused to sell the business. I asked in November 2012. They planned to close April 2013. AFAIK, they did. I never said anything here because I thought Chris or Cathe should post it.
