Trying to Fit Yoga In for Wed Jan 30

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Xlfowsion only. Trying hard to do a recovery week. I really wanted to do a Patrick DVD today....but forced myself to do this. Workout was 64" and I burned 352 calories.

Good morning everyone!

So sorry for my absense. Just been busy & haven't been able to find time to post. I tried to post a couple of times but wasn't able to finish. Anyway, I decided to go ahead & do another week of BBC so Monday was Chest & Back plus Non-Treadmill Cardio, Tuesday was Chest & Abst plus Non-Treadmill Cardio, & this morning I did Legs & Butt plus Non-Treadmill Cardio. I have felt pretty good doing BBC again this week but I really think I will need do incorporate some form of modified/active rest next week. I'm thinking about maybe just doing some shorter, less intense workouts & still doing yoga on Friday. I think I might pull out some Kelly Coffey-Meyer workouts or something but I'll be sure to let y'all know what I decide. It's just so hard to fit in a rest week when I'm getting such good results but I know it's important to let my body recover too.

Well, I guess that's it for now. I probably need to go back & try to catch up with everyone & post again if I have the time. I hope you are all doing just great & having a good week too. I'll try to visit again a little later if time permits. Have a great Hump Day!
 
Hi ladies,

I went to prenatal pilates yesterday - and just caught up with work the rest of the day.

Today I will be going out for a walk - and also having a prenatal massage... so looking forward to it.

Feeling really good today - was finally able to sleep well for two nights in a row!

Good Afternoon-

Today's workout was KenpoX (I switched around yesterdays/today's workout). Yesterday was XStretch. Today's kenpox was 64 mins long/390 cals burned. I burned 10 more cals than the last time I did it.

Lora- I don't know why I get sore from Core Syn? I guess that is a good thing, but who knows? Possibly because the Classic rotation only sticks it in the Recovery Weeks? Not sure. I am doing it tomorrow too. I will see how it goes. I am impressed that you use all that weight with the banana rolls! With the weightloss, do you think (this is just MHO) that you do too much cardio? When I do alot of cardio, it seems, my body hangs onto alot of water and that adds to bloat. I know that seems opposite of the effect cardio should give. This is just my observation. I really saw gains and inches lost with this p90x rotation. All the weights and just 2 days of cardio gave me major results. I was doing cardio before, with only 1-2 days of weights. My body really responded to this change. But, everyone is diff! You know your body better than anyone.

Good evening! Okay, so it's night now...it's been a busy day! I got up early to do LIS and then the floor portion of BC Abs. But after getting my HRM watch battery replaced yesterday, I ended up having to fool with it to fix a few things and by the time I was done, it was almost time for me to shower! It's okay, though, as the last two days I have just been really tired and I don't know why. I didn't get to do my workout this afternoon because I was busy doing some computer work for my internship. I was so frustrated because after entering all sorts of info into excel (which I'm not very good with), I closed something but then everything closed and I lost all my data! Ugh! I had to enter everything all over again.

Carrie, I did get to train with Billy for a whole weekend. I saw Shellie, but I think she had just had her baby a few weeks before camp. They are really nice, really humble people and I could sit and listen to Billy speak for hours! What's really surprising is that he is a soft spoken person. And in Rockin' Abs, Shellie is only 10 weeks post-pardom! Can you believe it? It cost $500 to be certified and $250 to go back every year for recertification…not including costs for travel to LA, lodging, transportation, food, etc. That’s a big reason why I did not return to recertify…I did not want to teach as a living and so I could not justify the cost. Yes, his live classes are SOOOO much faster than his DVDs!!! It’s absolutely insane :-O

Brighton, I saw those pictures! It is amazing that no one was killed. I think there is a snowstorm in the mountains but not down here where I live (at the base of the mountains, on the edge of the plains). I’m so glad you’re okay!

Lora, I haven’t really been doing much in the way of strength workouts over the past few months, which I really regret. I really think that part of it is laziness…because I could do updog just fine today when showing it to a friend (although my shoulders were sooo sore from yesterday!). My back is not very flexible right now and so I think that I will just get it with more practice. Baron won’t be part of my regular routine, but now I think I like the video enough to at least keep it and do it occasionally…it really challenged me!

Guess what I got today???!!!! I got Power Yoga For Happiness! I previewed the 40 minute Daily Dose of Bliss. Yes, he does say a few weird things, and I thought it was so funny to see a dog in there once or twice, but I ***LOVED*** it! It looks like it is exactly what I was looking for. I will be doing it tomorrow morning and I can't wait!! I'll do the 40 minute practice tomorrow :)
