Morning Ladies -
This morning I did G-Force Rebounder workout followed by 10 minutes of Denise Austin Fat Blaster Kick box. Workout was 50 minutes and I burned 439 calories. My HR stayed moderate around 68-75% of max. I'm finding I need to work harder and harder these days to get my HR up. I don't know what's up with that. No rest day today, as scheduled....as I need to lose a few pounds that have been accumulating from Christmas, etc.
I also did a 30" stretch DVD I got from Fitness Organica with Susan Powter....can't think of the name...got it as a $2 deal over there and I did Dance the Chakra's - with Ravi & Ana - Yoga Only set 30".
This yoga set had shoulderstand in it....so I paid special attention. I just wanted to mention that the easiest way to do it as previously described has a lot to do with hand placement while holding yourself up. My hands are basically way down on my lower back while I"m putting the majority of my weight on my triceps. My legs are not totally extended....much easier than putting them straight up to the ceiling. And yes, it's very important to get your shoulders shimmied way underneath you while in plough and adjust yourself to go up to shoulderstand. Anyway, I just love how the legs feel in this posture with the gravity reversal and how you can feel your blood rushing to your head. In this yoga set, we do breath of fire with shoulderstand with our legs in a V and it felt so good!
I hate to complain again, but I've still been suffering in horrid pain for the past 2 days. I was due to start my period today....but didn't yet. I know my pain's flaring partially from hormones (it always does) and probably exacerbated by the pushups. I'm gonna soak in the tub with Epsom's salt shortly and hopefully it will help a bit. Surely this weather isn't helping. It was only 9 degrees yesterday on my way to work!! Hate this weather.
I'm also feeling really disgusted with myself. The last couple of times I gained weight (once was on vactation in Vegas, and lastly over the Holidays), I have not taken the weight back off and now I need to lose around 13 pounds to get down to the weight I was trying to get down to before I gained all of this weight! I don't think not drinking enough water at work has helped....and I've also had a bladder infection....probably from inadequate water intake and "holding it" too long! Probably a little TMI....but I really think the water intake thing is contributing to my weight. The other thing different since I started this new job is that I'm not eating throughout the day like I used to cuz I can't eat at work....so I"m basically doing the 3 meals a day and eating more calories ....also not good for the metabolism! Oh well..........vent over. It's so frustating! Why does it have to be so difficult to lose weight and so easy to put it on? This problem has seemed to have gotten worse the last few years as I near the big 50!
Have a great day everyone. Off to do my normal Saturday rotuine. I've got lots to do today.
