Morning Ladies-
This morning I did Gilad's Cuts & Curves 60" followed by Self - Flat Abs Fast - Stab Ball, Pilates & Yoga segments 17". Workout was 1 hour and 20 minutes and I burned 330 calories. I then did Power to the Peaceful Yoga 50".
This Gilad workout was pretty good. I've never done anything by him before. I loved the beach setting (Self workout had a beach also) and I felt the burn. I still don't know why so many instructors make the high rep versus low rep heavy workouts. Lately, whenever I see a DVD with 10 reps, I get all excited, cuz I know I can do 6-8 if I want and heavy up.
Speaking of high reps....do people who are ectomorph's from the waist up even need to do high rep training for the upper body?
Have a great workout everyone. I have my interview at Children's Services at 2:00 pm....wish it were earlier!
Yve - sorry you are not feeling well. I wonder if the change of seasons is affecting you. I know I have a lot of problems with my sinues/asthma when the weather changes.
Jen - that Kickbox DVD is advanced....but I think it gets harder as it progresses. I don't usually get my HR up that high with kickboxing....even some of Cathe's....unless we're throwing in some higher impact. My HR only stays 125-140 for kickbox...depending. I usually even jump more and double time moves, etc. However, part of my problem now is that I have this fracture and the boot....and I'm not sure how much jumping is okay and it seemed boxing on the Rebounder wasn't really getting it up either....so I grabbed an Interval workout. Tracey's 2nd kickbox is sort of monotonous....in that the combos go on forever.....but the good thing is that you don't get confused, it's easy to pick up and I can play my own music and follow. Her first kickbox is harder to learn (and I think it's more interesting), but lots of people don't think it's intense enough...however, the way I do it.....I can make it plenty intense and it is not as boring to me. I enjoy it. I like Tracey. Let me know how you like Full Frontal.
Have a great day ladies.
