Morning Ladies -
Yay ....it's Friday!! This morning I did P90X+ Total Body and Abs/Core. I had to work out in the dreary basement cuz I needed the chin up bar and I was happy to find a pair of pushup bars down there also. I had to use the chair to help with pullups and I did quite a few of the pushups on my toes....so lets hope my injury doesn't flare too badly. Workout was 1 hour 20" and I burned 548 calories.
I need tips on doing the hanging leg raises, as I'm not really feeling them that much. My ceiling is low in the basement...so you have to bend your legs so you don't hit the floor and it's awkward. Do you ladies think I'm doing something wrong or should I add ankle weights since I rarely feel ab work without weights?
I think there will be a slight learning curve with these for me since there are so many different moves. Once I do them a few times, I think I'll get a better workout.
Have great days everyone.
Carrie - I only had to lose 5-7 pounds prior to the Holidays. I seem to have packed on about 4 pounds from a chocolate binge I had from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I have to make sure I don't do this next year. I can't afford to gain weight, as the older you get, the harder it is to keep it off. My Mom even commented that I looked like I gained a few pounds........I was mortified!! I'm 5'7" and would like to weigh around 117, but I usually weigh arouned 124......but after the recent chocolate binge, I'm up to 129....so I actually have more than 10 pounds to lose!! The problem is that I'm always so hungry....and I can't diet very well.
Yve - it's very cold here also. It was 11 degrees on my way to work yesterday. Yes, this weather makes me very stiff also. As a matter of fact, yesterday, on my way to work, I was thinking I should pull out some of my older Kundalini VHS I have with Nivair Singh. He is a yoga instructor (Kundalini) that lives in Alaska and he tends to incorporate a lot of shoulder loosening work, etc into routines because he says that the cold Alaska air tends to make your shoulders very stiff and mine have been horrible.
Jen - how are you feeling? Any better?
Kel - what's up?
Well, I better go get ready for work.
