Troy Lite

I just ordered the Troy Lite bar and plate set. I can't wait to get it.. I am so tired of having to have 3 different long bars set up to do the workouts... anyone else have these? what do you think of them?

Have it, love it, am even thinking of getting a second one. I also ordered some 10# and 2.5# plates when I got mine, since I love those rubber-coated plates.

I ordered mine shortly after I joined these boards...the people here had great things to say about it and they weren't wrong. I really like my bar. I use it mostly during the pyramids and for deadlifts, but I'm still so glad I have it.

Kathryn, I'm curious as to why you're thinking of ordering an additional Troy Lite. Please don't tell me you'll be using them both at the same time! ROFL

Based on everyone's raves for the Troy Lite, I ordered one and love it sooooo much. It's easy to change weights, easy to hide (sort of) in the corner, and easy to maneuver over your head. I wish I'd taken Kathryn's advice and ordered the 2.5s at the same time. It's a good tip. Alexis

I also have the Troy Lite and think it's fabulous! It's my first barbell, and it has really made a difference in my workout.

I think you like your bar too...

Where's the best place to order the Troy Lite? Isn't it pretty expensive ordering it and paying for shipping?

The on-line price isn't too bad but this is what I did. I went to my local equipment place, Chicago Home Fitness, but anyplace is worth a try. I told them I wanted the Troy Lite and they ordered it for me. Paid tax but saved bunches on the shipping. I also paid the same price as is advertised on-line. Not sure, but I think it was @$55. Yes, I will be lifting one with each arm!! Heave-Ho!}(

Actually, I have several barbells, but I don't use them anymore except for the Troy Lite. I'm thinking of replacing the other 2 (a Firm padded bar and a regular 5' bar) with an additional Troy Lite that I can use for workouts where I don't want to make so many changes (and can use that time for stretching instead).
