Troy Lite barbell & Squat rack

I was going to post this today anyway, until I went to the website and discovered it wasn't there anymore
(But, since you brought it up, I'll post it anyway.)
I just bought a squat rack from an e-bay store named Fitness Efficient, and the name of the squat rack is called the Olympic/Standard Barbell Free Press Bench Squat Stand. The price is $116.99 plus shipping. Like I said, I just checked today, and they no longer have it listed, but I'm pretty sure they'll list it again once it's restocked.
Anyway, I don't have the Troy barbell, but this would work with any width barbell because it's 2 separate units that you set on either side of your bench. I love it also because, unlike the Valor Squat Stands that many have talked about here, this one has its lowest setting for bench press at 19", and that means you don't have to have a bunch of risers for your step to reach the bar. That saved me $$ because I only have the old Reebok step, which only goes to 10". Otherwise I would have had to buy a whole new step and a bunch of risers. I used it this morning for Gym Style Chest work, and I LOVED it. It also works perfect for squats. Plus, it takes up hardly any room. Anyway, hope this helps. I'm sorry that your barbell/squat rack combination did not work out. That must have been very disappointing. I just wanted to point out that if you do end up buying another barbell, as long as you don't get an Olympic one, you won't need different weights. The weights that came with the TroyLite are standard ones.

I use a Valor squat stand. You can adjust the distance and height to fit your barbell. I use a shorter, 20-lb Olympic bar, but it will also fit my Troy bar.

Lori - Hi - sorry I just saw your post. No, the one that you mentioned is not the same one I got. It looks almost exactly like that one, but it is also made for squats. I e-mailed their store to see if they will be getting them back in stock soon, so I'll let you know when they reply. It's almost exactly like the Valor BD3 Squat Stand except like I said before it goes down to 19" for the bench press, which works better for me. Hopefully they'll be getting them in stock soon so you can see them.
