Tri-state area get together anyone?

How about September (sometime after Labor Day)? Summer and vacations are pretty much done at that point, so more people might be able to come. Yes, Saturday is perfect for me.
 
Maybe Saturday the 17th or 24th?

For me it will depend on how long the drive is and if my husband who will be in law school can watch my son. Oh I hope I can do this :)

Count me in from NY. I was so jealous of missing the roadtrip that this would be just the thing. I'd love to meet other workout fanatics in person so I wouldn't feel so alone here!

But if "y'all" is a contraction made up of 2 words--"you" & "all"--then shouldn't the apostrophe go after the "y?"

Where are we thinking of going?? To Cathe's gym?? I don't know how many of us made the road trip, but I couldn't go and I would LOVE to go check out her gym and maybe take a class....

But I'd be up for meeting elsewhere too -- it'd be great just to meet you guys
 
I'd be happy to meet anywhere you girls want (just no dark allies!)... Cathe's gym, NY, PA, NJ.. you name it! Is there a Friday holiday coming up? We could all do Cathe's adv. step class .... but I don't think there are any Friday holidays till October-- and those might only because I teach in a public school.

Whatever you guys decide, except the 17th, I'm in for!!! :)
 
If I counted correctly, including myself, Kali and Marie, there are about 16 of us interested so far...

The 17th is bad for me...I have a wedding the night before and Joey's Baptism is the next day! I could work with the 24th though...unless I talk to DH and he has something that I haven't heard about yet. I'll have to ask him.

So if we did this on saturday the 24th then we could start by meeting at Cathe's gym possibly for a class followed by lunch or dinner...depending on the time we choose? Who knows after that. Would you all be interested in going out dancing or something at night possibly?

Roadtrippers, how were the hotels you stayed in? We should pick a hotel and reserve rooms for those of us who'd rather stay over and then drive back home that night. That way we have more time to hang out anyway. :)
 
sounds like alot of fun! That weekend, I'll be getting certified to teach body pump classes. I'm very excited :) I'll probably be the star of class with all my knowledge gained from cathe :p lol


but you all have a GREAT time! Maybe next time I can join :)

The 24th is good for me. I would like to stay over night. Everything you mentioned sounds great, but does Cathe teach on Saturdays? I just checked the class schedule and I didn't see her name for Saturdays.
 
What a fantastic idea!!! I live in PA and was planning a Road Trip, by my lonesome, sometime very soon. But, this would be WONDERFUL!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! A Road Trip for us!!

I thought I'd be the only geek in Cathe's class, grinning the entire time with my CD's in a little bag near my Step and water bottle...haha :)
 
I would love to go but my due date is Oct 4 so I want to stay close to home just in case. LOL. You all have a great time and maybe next time I'll be able to come. :)
 
LOL I know, we yankees tend to take our grammar & spelling a little too seriously. (BTW, did you know yankee is a dutch word for "stupid people?" It was originally used by pretty much everyone in the northeast regarding the settlers in upstate NY--I know I know, TMI :D ).

So, tell me what I'd love about TX. Other than the fact that you, Jes & Shonie live there. All I know is it's where Nieman Marcus originated, which makes it OK in my book. ;-)
 
September is good, but I have a stupid volunteer event on the 24th--also I'd suggest a Friday b/c that's when Cathe has a scheduled step class.
 
Aw man! That would stink if Cathe doesn't even teach on saturdays! Does she teach on sundays I wonder??? Maybe those of us that spend the night can do a class on sunday before we part ways?

Well if she's not teaching I'd say to skip the club then and plan other things to do...what does everyone think?

ETA: just read Laura's post that Cathe teaches on fridays...what does everyone think about doing this from a friday to a saturday instead?
