Travel Fit

I really didn't think I'd actually use this one. Seemed kind of boring, and I'm not a traveler, except on family vacations, and I don't work out on those. However, I was bored tonight, sitting on the couch, watching my arse spread out bigger and bigger, so I decided to give it a go. I already did today's workout, and I figured this would be an easy, peasy one and in out and done.

Um, yeah, I was wrong. There's a lot going on with the band. It crossed my mind a few times to hit pause, and run a get the pink band, but I didn't. I especially liked the reverse curls w/ the band, although my abs weren't quite so happy about it. That was tough! I did it upstairs in the living room b/c DH was in the basement, but I could totally see adding a little height to the cardio moves, for just a little more oomph. As it stands, it's a great no-nonsense, work everything workout. Who knew? I know Cathe doesn't put out crap, but I didn't have high hopes for this one. Turns out, I love it. An I can still feel my shoulders and back talking, and I've been done for at least a half hour.

Pleasantly surprised,

Nan

did not love it

I on the other hand did not love it. I expected this to be a cardio workout, seeing it was under sts shock cardio series. Most of the times, my HR was about 80, which is NOTHING. I would say it's a good all body sculpting DVD but definitely not a cardio workout. I also barely burned 280 calories in 51 minutes... When I teach classes I burn 450 in 45 mins. I definitely expected more.

Yes Nan...It does end up surprising you if you were expecting a total walk in the park. In my attempt to truly make this workout under an hour I had to keep the cardio bursts shorter in order to get through a wide variety of band exercises. Having said that, if enough people want a sequel to Travel FIt I can make a nice "cardio band" workout...think Cardio Core Circuit with band work

Hi Milacik! If you were expecting Travel Fit to be a "mostly cardio" based workout I can completely understand your disappointment. Travel Fit was just a bonus workout given for free to those who preordered the Shock Cardio workouts....it is NOT part of the Shock Cardio series. Actually, I originally didn't have any cardio in it and decided to put it in later to keep the overall heart rate somewhat elevated to accompany the toning segments and increase the fat burning effects. It was originally just going to be a solid toning "band burner" workout.

:)

I never expected it to be a cardio workout. It had always been described as a Travel Workout with toning work using only bands. If you expected a cardio workout, I can see how you would be disappointed. It's not part of Shock Cardio though as Cathe stated. I thought it was great myself. Just did it last night. :) It was exactly what I was expecting.

Travel Fit sounds perfect for travelling (which I do quite a bit by motorcycle in the spring, summer and fall) So, an iPhone and band is perfect way to do that. I would do on alternate days with some of my other favorite Cathe cardio dvds. (Still waiting for my Shock Cardio, but I can't wait to try the Hiit and the Cardio Core Blast)

i love travelfit

i love travelfit. i feel i get a better workout with bands than i do with weights. but i could not find a band workout i really liked. i have a shunt in my back so when i became ill a lot of things changed. ab workout on the floor and heavy weights are out. i can do medium to light weights. so when this band workout came out i thought i had struck gold and i have. i would love more band workouts from cathe and some standing abs work. that is my dream workouts. but i looooove travelfit thank you.

My boys play hockey... so we spend numerous weekends during the year traveling to hockey tournaments. This workout is perfect!!!! I can workout in the hotel room without a lot of jumping. Its just enough cardio mixed with total body sculpting and fun. Now I will be able to fit in some workout time on hockey weekends. I try to workout in the hotel gym but I dread it and can easily find excuses not to do it. Travel fit... and the Shock Cardio series are just awesome!

DH & I did this workout last night and loved it! From the warm up, right thru the tough AB/Core section. It really is a feel-good workout! And, a nice change from weight work. But tonight, it's back to STS!!!

I did this workout on Xmas and really enjoyed it as well. I could really feel the burn the following day.
