TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE 5/2-5/8

Gloria

Cathlete
Happy Monday morning girls!

Since I've basicly taken a week off from a healthy lifestyle I thought a slip-up topic would be a good way to start the week. I'm beginning my week with MIC. This will be my first attempt so we'll see how it goes. I'll also be getting back to my no eating between meals strategy - that seems to work for me. No more cruisin with a 24 hour pizza and ice cream bar. I've also got some housework issues to deal with. I may give flylady another try. She's a good motivator. Hope everyone has a great day!

KEEP SLIP UPS IN PERSPECTIVE!

One slip does not mean that we have "blown our diet." It just means that in our overall lifestyle, we had a little blip, and now we have to move on! We have to remember: We are making these changes in our lifestyles because we want to be healthier and live longer. We are doing this for ourselves. When we slip, we only have ourselves to answer to and we must look at ourselves in the mirror and say "Okay, I like me, and we are going to work on this!"

Don't give up when you have setbacks. If you pig out at McDonald's, eat the whole box of donuts, or "forget" to exercise for a week, don't lose hope. Tomorrow is another day. It is easier to lose the three pounds you may have gained from a week of setbacks, than to lose the 30 pounds you gained from totally giving up.

Hi ladies,
Hope you are all well and happy.

Gloria, thank you for starting the week's post. Great topic.

I did MIC and Intense Moves today.

Have a beautiful day.:)

Great topic Gloria.I feel the same exacte way.Need to let go and move on.We spend our lives torturing ourselves to be perfect.I'm not doing it anymore.I'm just going to enjoy my life and stop torturing myself if i eat something not clean or miss a workout.I have house issue to.Working on them though.I had a productive weekend.Made my workout schedule on the computer along with my cleanse habits.Gave my the incentive to get my butt moving.Time to reinvent myself.

Made a five week goal. That i will accomplish.I am on a mission.Did The Tortoise this morning.Love that workout.

Count me in the "house issue" group!!! Ever since we started on this basement project, things are not as neat as they used to be and I accept that. In my younger days, I probably would have stressed, but I've been forewarned by all my friends that things will be out of kilter for at least 4-6 months (I'm in month #3). I am just working on reasonable order (and clean laundry in the drawers). Since I'm achieving that goal, I'm a happy camper.

Played 9 holes of golf with DH last night. It amazes me how much I feel it in my butt and arms the next day. We walk the course and carry our clubs. Must be more exercise than what I thought. Tonight is yoga (backbends) night. I have found that yoga adds an added dimension to my health, namely great sleep and calmness and upper body strength. And .... I hit the golf ball and extra 20 yards or so.

My best to all --

Juli

P.S. Saw an interested W.O. in Shape this month based on Kari Anderson's "Curves, Lines, and Angles". Does anyone have that? What do you think?

Hi ladies,
My workout today was Rhythmic step and Still Jumpin.

Juli, I have and love Kari's Angle, Lines and Curves. I love the first one more that her second one. It tones the core muscles yet it has a beautiful flow and relaxation to it.

Have a great day.

GO ROBYN!!!!!!! Great news!!!!! We're all so happy for you.

I did Cathe's Cardio & Weights this AM. A new favorite. I LOVE it!! Anybody else have that one? Hi to Juli, Bita, FS, Gloria and anybody I've missed. Hope you all have a great week....Janice

Hi all,

Needed a quick wo today so I did PS BBA. I've got a little twingy thing going on in my left shoulder so I've got to be careful. I may go a little heavy on the cardio and light on the weights for awhile.

Ok Robyn, tell us about this great new job. When do you start? When will you get your wo in?

A rainy day here, so it's a good day to clean out my closet. Why do I have so many khaki pants? Some of those have got to go.

Have a good day.

Gloria

Hi Gloria and everyone! I'm not sure what the transformation challenge is but I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading the Keep Slip Ups in Perspective speech. That was the kick in the butt that I needed! Thanks a lot! I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Hey guys!

It was so Nice to sign on and see all your congrats!!! Yep I start on the 16th. It's a "perfect fit" EVERYTHING I wanted in a job. Salary is a little lower but for the perfect fit I can't complain and they did come up a little on salary. PLUS it is ONLY 7 miles and 12 mins from my house door to door! YIPEE. I feel so blessed because I applied for another job and saw this one online (it was posted that morning) anyhow they also thought i was a better fit. My resume kind of went to the top of the pile - kind of felt a little like the Mary Poppins hiring :)

GOsh I was writing emails to all the folks who have helped me through this I think I emailed over 40 folks! I'm so blessed to have such great folks in my life!

O one of you asked about the work out! I am going to do it in the evening. Funny I was thinking the last few weeks what would I do so I've been doing a trial run through! Need my quiet time in the morning :) it's really key to set the day right.

I have to figure out how to still give back since I can't volunteer as much. I'll be able to stay active in my church, volunteer at the shelter on wkends and the environmental place take place in their annual event.

Thanks everyone for your support too since January! It has been great! Gosh I want to tell fitdoc too!

Just hope I can keep the positive attitude, healthy perspective, and giving back that I've incorporated into my life. Must say this really has been a great time all in all.

Well I'm RAMBLING!

Thanks everyone did Kickbox last nite, will do S&H shoulder and legs tonite!

Hi girls. Robyn-You sound so GOOD. So glad for you sweetie! How nice to work so close to home. Wish I did. It's a 45-55 minute drive one way. At least I work close to DD's house so I can visit at lunch and see the babies.

I did Firm Tortoise this AM. Why did I think that one was easier???NOT!

Does this forum have a awapmeet? Anyone know? I'm trying to trade the whole slim-in-6 series for something else.

Hope you all have a great day. Hi to FS, Bita, Gloria, Otisan?, Juli, and others I've missed. I'll talk to ya'll Friday as I'm off tomorrow(Thnak God!) Have a great day all....Janice

Hi all,

Today was a rest day, cleaning and errand day. My Goodwill pile is out of control! My closet looks great though. Well, better anyway. I need to get the ladder to get to the top shelves. I can't imagine the dust that must be up there with the 8 track tapes. Yep, it's been awhile.

Angela, glad you liked our topic this week. Drop in anytime and tell us how you're doing.

Janice, no swap on this site as far as I know. Ya-ya's and video fitness are the only boards I know of that you can sell/trade on. And Ebay of course.

We've got our last night of Bible School tonight. I actually get to take a class instead of teach one this year. Tonight is fried chicken night. I've been saving up my calories for this one and boy is my stomach growling at me.

Have a good day girls.

Gloria

Goldengirl,i hear you on the Tortoise.I did that workout Monday morning.I even lowered my weights until i get back into the groove of things.Tough Tape scares me.I'm definitely not graceful. But,those breaks help.Did Strong Bear this morning.Really enjoyed it.Felt it.I love the new FP's.Because they are so unqiue and fun.I should be getting my new firm tapes any day now.Been doing good on my eating.House work is another issue.YUCKO!!! Been working 10 hour days.Working 9 hrs on Saturday.So.my motivation for doing house work is not to motivating.

Robyn, enjoy your last days of freedom.
Off to housework.

Hi All -- Didn't post yesterday because it was a rest day and I was busy writing a proposal for work. Aunt Flo came to visit so it's a good thing that it was a planned rest. I'm really fortunate, no cramps or mood swings, just need a little more sleep.

On Tuesday, I did CC2 followed by 20 minutes of yoga.

Not sure what w.o. I'll do tonight

My best to all --

Juli

Hi ladies,

Yesterday was my Imax day. Today was Power Hour.

Hope you have a beautiful day.:)

Hi girls,

Today was RS. Eating has been a little off today. The left over chicken and dumplings I cooked for DS were too tempting.

See ya,

Gloria

Hi Ladies --

Yesterday was gorgeous so I went to the driving range after work. I have practiced a lot this spring because it has rained a LOT. Afterward I came home and tried my "POWER GOLF" tape. It's mainly weights and stretching. I was really surprised how tough it was! It promises move yardage after 6 weeks. I'll keep you posted in 6 weeks!

Waves to everyone --

Juli
