Tracey Staehle Strike zone vs. Amy Bento In the Ring

I am trying to decide which of these 2 dvds to get. orginally, i was thinking of purchasing both, but now I want to get Tracey Staehle's Circuit zone too. I want something that really gets my heart rate up. I like Amy Bento's other hi/lo and kickboxing. I also like Staehle's Cardio sweatfest. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Mary

RE: Tracey Staehle Strike zone vs. Amy Bento In the Rin...

I absolutely LOVE In the Ring. I work hard, my heartrate gets up and the choreography is very fun. Great music too. If you like Amy's other hilo and kickboxing, you'd like this one too. Do you have her Hi Lo Cardio Knock Out? I can only do 2 combos at a time on that one because the intensity is so high, but WOW that's an awesome workout too.

If you haven't done a search of the forums on Circuit Zone, you might want to do that to get more impressions of that one.

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

Did strike zone come out yet? I preordered it, but haven't gotten it yet. I do own In the Ring, which is great. Overall I'd say I prefer Amy's stuff but it's hard to compare since I haven't done Strike Zone yet.

I dont have In the Ring. I got to preview Strike Zone and I posted my impressions here:

Toni did too:

In the Ring is very popular too and has rave reviews. From the clips of In the Ring I think they are very different workouts so it will be tough to compare. I do like Amy a lot. I did not get In the Ring because it is choreo intensive (hi-lo and kick box merged). I do athletic or more straight kick-boxing cardio.

So you could make your choice based on which style appeals to you.

I don't know if Strike Zone is offically released? I enjoy Amy more than Tracey.

Strike Zone isn't out yet (but it will be in a few days) so it's hard to tell, but from the looks of the long preview, I like it better than "In the Ring."

I DO like "In the Ring" better than Amy's previous KB workouts--it's definitely more kickboxy, with no hi-low filler moves. But there are some moves I don't like.

I'd wait a few days until people get SZ (it supposed to ship either tomorrow--Wednesday--or Thursday), so you can get more opinions from those who have seen all of both workouts.

Overall, I prefer Amy's stuff over Tracey's hands down. That being said Strike Zone does look good based on the clips I've seen and the blog write up but I've thought they all sounded good before and ended up trading away most of Tracey's stuff. I think the two instructors are going to be very hard to compare even when Strike Zone reviews come in b/c they are not similar at all in the workouts they produce. SF Kickboxing bored me to tears, but you liked it so who knows which you would like better...tee hee! I own In the Ring and I liked it a lot when I first did it but now I love it. It is lower impact than some of Amy's other stuff, but still fun and interesting with a bit of a learning curve. I love the med ball intervals.

Oh, Jonahnah, I'm so glad you said this! I can make it through all of In the Ring, but I usually only do sections of Hi/Lo Knockout each time! I thought there was something wrong with me!;-)
