Totally OD - Rental Costumes???

Ok, so DH and I are doing this local Halloween parade for his work. He is dressing up as the Headless Horseman (which he has done before at his office) and I'm going to be "the girl who leads his horse through the parade" (exciting) I'm thinking about dressing up kind of like Christina Ricci did in "Sleeping Hollow". Anyways... for you guys who are big into Halloween, any idea where I can rent a cool costume for this? There are a ton of internet sites, but has anyone ever used one? I plan to check with some local play houses too, but thought I would also check with the masses here.

I'm actually in the mood for Halloween now!!!

Try walmart. I always get my costumes there. They might have something that matches what you need. It won't be the greatest of material but you can probably spruce it up.

Try ebay under costumes and reenactment Civil war or Renaissance period should give you some ideas.

There's a local consignment shop here that has tons of old costumes and period outfits, some of which they sell and some they rent. Maybe look for something like that in your area?

Some of the neighboring malls (I don't live within 45 minutes of an actual "mall") might have a store like that, but I am I'm hoping to find something a little higher end. My town takes their Halloween Parade VERY seriously - almost religiously so. If I show up in something from Wal-Mart or Party City, I will probably be laughed out of the parade. The costume competition is pretty cut throat too and my DH's company is giving anything we as a group win to a charity. I'm on my way to check out that ebay link. I need to find some odds and ends for DH's outfit and that will be a good place to find those items too. Thanks for the ideas!
