Total Body Blast Chk In 7

Cathlete
Hi Everyone,
Look where we are....number 7. Wow does time fly or what?

For Sunday I did Imax, I did a couple more real scissors before having to follow Hope, then I did PUB, I can go to the second set of 15#'s before having take a 30 second break. In the evening I went for a 37 min walk/jog on the treadmill and finished up with 12 min of ab work. I deserve my Bath and Body works moments do you think? :D:D

This is the 8th week of my cutting back starches and sugar, (Cathe's diet in the Behind the Scenes section).
Adding this to reving up my exercise routine is showing results. I'm not far off now, from my goal. Just like Cathe says, work and determination really pay off.

Go for it....you're gonna win.

Wanda - That is so awesome about your goal!! Keep up the great work!!
Yesterday I did PLB. I did it a little bit different by just keeping the weight heavy for all of the sets, except leg presses which I had to pyramid! Today was PUB - I just love that workout!! Every time I do the biceps section, though, I feel like I'm going to throw-up! And Cathe is laughing through the whole thing!! }(
Anyway, I might take tomorrow off or just do cardio - something like Rhythmic Step. I miss that one with the Total Body Blast rotation!! :p
Have a great Monday!!

Wanda,

Okay~ we're all friends here, it's safe now to tell us what planet you're from! You flippin' amaze me with how much exercise you can endure in 1 day! I feel like a slug compared to you, and to add insult to injury, I'm younger so I should be able to do more! Your schedule makes me feel like some out of shape wimp!

Yesterday was an easy day for me. I did TaeBo + Denise Austin's Stretch & Flex (that stretch felt sooooo good!)
This morning is 30 min cardio + PUB, I can't EVEN imagine doing Imax before PUB! Wanda, you are some sort of Amazon warrior princess man! I bow to your physical abilities! You sure you're 50!? Geez!? :)

Donna

p.s. I may have to go buy some Geritol to keep up with you!

Donna,
Shhh don't tell anyone...I'm Xena's half sister. LOL

Actually I will be 53 come August. I hate seeing that in print. :-( I don't think of myself that age.
One of my secrets to staying young is to have friends older than me. That way I could be the youngest. And to have friends younger than me in order to keep up with new thoughts and way of viewing things. :D

YOU Donna, inspire ME!!! You put together some plenty hard workout days yourself.;-)
Thanks so much for your compliments though.

Today is Cardio and Weights day. I love that class too. I ordered the top Cede and Rhonda have on in that class, back in Decemeber but it was out of stock. Well it came Friday by registered mail...but...
When I called the PO about my package, they laughed and said they couldn't get me because they could tell I was doing my exercises. When they went past my room they heard the loud music going.
The music was from Imax Extreme. LOL
So I have to wait for the mailperson this morning before I can proceed.

I love those tops from 5th Element BTW.

Have a great and wonderful workout day. :D

DUH!! I forgot the mail doesn't come today. :p C&W here I come.

Sara, I love Rythmic Step too. The music is so cool.

Did you all see on the Ask Cathe Thread that she is going to do a Cardio step tape next? Yea :D:D

Hello!

I did PUB this morning. I skipped the stability ball section at the end because my son is sick and I had to check on him. Hopefully I will be able to do those last few minutes tonight while my husband comforts him. I hope he gets better soon - I think it's a stomach virus. We had a long night on Saturday when he suddenly woke up sick in the middle of the night. He's still got 102 fever, though, so he may have to stay home from school tomorrow. I've already had 6 sick days from work this year! Everyone's getting sick a lot lately. Anyways, I'm rambling on and on....

Yesterday I was able to do PLB and first 5 intervals of IMAX2. I really like IMAX2. It's so fun. On Saturday, I did C&W. I never have gotten dizzy before while doing that one, but this Saturday, I suddenly felt that way. Maybe it was the few drinks I had on Friday night. It was only a couple, but maybe it was enough to make my workout a little tougher than usual.

Wanda - Wow! I can not believe you are almost 53! That is so wonderful that you work out as much as you do. Has exercise always been a big part of your lifestyle? I hope I can keep up the good habits. I just love reading in magazines about 60+ women who are so active and fit. I hope one day I am one of those ladies.

Donna - Taebo is an easy day? I guess compared to the Intensity series or any Cathe, Taebo is easy. I haven't done it in a while though, maybe it would be easier for me now that I've done Cathe regularly. Which Taebo did you do?

Sara - I did PUB today. The biceps section KILLS me! And I don't even use the weights Cathe uses! I use 5, 8, and 10. I feel like a real weakling when she says they are starting with 12! I think the first time I did this video, I used the same weights, but I didn't get very far.

Have a great day!

Okay Wanda,

You inspired (actually intimidated)me into doing an interval workout + PUB this morning! Thank you I think?! :) No~I didn't brave Imax, I did the first 30min, the step intervals of Mindy M.'s Extreme Intervals + PUB. That actually breaks down very well. A 4min warm-up and 29min of step interval workout.
I almost went for the hour but then sanity hit me and I said, "no! lets not, lets save SOME energy for PUB!" :)

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they're half way done with PUB just getting through the chest work!? Once I get past the chest work the rest is gravy until the biceps section! :)

Tomorrow I'll tackle the 2nd 1/2 of Extreme Intervals (hi/lo intervals) + PLB~oh yay! :)

Donna

HI Everyone,
I've finished up the day with PLB. I could do all the leg extention exercises leaning on the ball except the last 3 sets on the second leg. Wow! That leg gets to feeling like there is a big knot in it. But that is an improvement of when I first did it. I had to stop and rest before even attempting the second leg. I'm very thankful for the stretch.

Laura, you asked about how long I've been exercising... Well, in my 20's I did Yoga. In my 30's I did Jane. I started with her record, then she went Video and I got all her tapes. My girlfriends would come over and 'we'd do Jane'.

In about 1988 I found the Firm and I did them 5-6 days a week until I discovered Cathe alsmot 3 years ago. My diet, injuries and working against my lupus has been my downfall as far as weight gain is concerned. I think I have a better handle on things now. :D

Donna, now don't you feel better now that you got in that cardio? LOL
I sure do hear you on PUB. I'm wishing it was all over by the time chest work is done. I'm doing the 12-15-20 pyramid. BUT....I can't do presses with the 20's. My arms are fried by the time I get 8 flys in. I'm grateful to get to the triceps THEN I remember what is next.
Grrr. }(

I haven't decided on what to do tomorrow as I am out of sync with this rotation. Technically I haven't did ME since the 7th unless you count the Combination of Boot Camp and ME bonus workout on Sat.
But no way am I going to put ME back to back with PLB. I may be crazy but I'm not insane. LOL

See you all tomorrow.

Laura,
I'm so sorry to hear your son is sick with this virus going around. That is a high temperature for a little one to have. Hope it has gone down by now and that he is feeling better. Alot of the kids here are getting ear infections with this virus. They have to go get antibiotics in order to get rid of it.
Well, in fact when I had it, I got fluid in both of my ears.

My thoughts are with you. Hope he gets well very soon.

Hi Everyone,
I won't be doing my exercise class until after lunch, but it will be Imax 2.

I just wanted to share a note of encouragement. I will post my total loss in weight and measurements at the end of my 8th week on this rotation. But I happened to measure this morning and I'm VERY pleased.
:D:D :D
The extra intensity and cleaned up diet, was just what I needed to shake up that stubborn fat on my torso and abs. I've just got a teeny bit more to go on the abba dabbas and I'll be THERE! Yea.

Talk with you later

Hello everyone! I didn't have time to post yesterday, but I did Boot Camp. I love that workout.

Today is supposed to be a rest day, but I find it so difficult to take a rest day. I feel like a slug. So, I'm going to do Power Max. I made cookies yesterday and ate too many of them so I feel I need to do an extra workout anyway.

Laura - I'm sorry to hear about you son being sick. I sure know how that feels to have a sick kid. I will be praying for you and your family.

Wanda - I love Imax 2. I have been tempted to do this one today also. I just did it on Sunday. Cathe says to put 2 days in between, but I don't feel this is as hard as the first one. Do you ever do Imax or Imax 2 without waiting your 2 days?

Everyone have a great day,
Christi

Hey everyone!!
I did the Gauntlet for the first time today...i really like it....would you do something w/upper body the day after that?I didnt really feel like i worked my upper body that much..my legs are a different story.;-)
Christi-I have to agree w/ you on rest days you do feel like a slug!
I usually take Sun. off then i can spend time w/ my DH.

enjoy the rest of the day!!

Hi Everyone,
Due to time restraints I only did Imax 2 today. Tomorrow is ME. :D I know I've said that before. LOL But for SURE tomorrow.!

I looked at my calendar to see if I did Imax or Imax 2 closer than Cathe's suggesstion of putting 2 days between doing it. I see where I have did Imax 2 on a Monday, Imax on Wed and Imax 2 again on Saturday.

To answer doing upper body work after doing Gauntlet, I remember Cathe saying that you could do weight work after Boot Camp because you aren't working the muscles that long at a time. Since Gauntlet is a combo of Boot Camp & Cardio and Weights, neither one of them has THAT long of weight work.

See you tomorrow :D

Good Morning everyone.

Today I will do muscle endurance and then after I pick up my daughter from school, I will do Rhythmic Step. I miss some of my older tapes. I am going to try to up all my weights in ME today. I don't know if I can or not.

I need to make myself do Imax instead of Imax 2 tomorrow. I love Imax 2, but Imax is somewhat agony to me. I can to it, but it feels to go on forever. (I can only do it on a 6" step and complete it) The last time I did it was the first time I completed it all without modification, even the 10th one. It was such a sad thing becuase there was no one who understood in my family what an accomplishment that was.

Hope everyone has a great day,
Christi

Hi Everyone,
Getting ready to do ME.
I found Cathe's quote concerning doing weight work after Boot Camp. Here is what she said:

"Boot Camp contains only one minute of weight training per a particular body part and Cardio Weights has 2 minutes per upper body part (there is no specific lower body weight training in Cardio Weights).
Boot Camp actually focuses more on overall stamina. Since no one muscle group is taxed for very long it can be used along side other weight workouts if you are not extremely sore."

Someone asked Cathe about doing weight work after Boot Camp on the Ask Cathe thread a while back. :D

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was PLB + 30min hi/lo section of Extreme Intervals (actually 25min)

This morning was BootCamp.

I'm feeling a bit "impact pooped" right now, so I may stray tomorrow and do a Powerstrike video? Not sure yet?

See ya tomorrow,
Donna

Fitness~ It's a journey, not a race!

Christi - That is a huge accomplishment!!!! Congrats to you for not implementing any modifications!!!! I have to modify that 10th one everytime - no matter what!!!;(
I feel bad, but I actually had to switch to Cathe's 16 week max fat loss rotation this week! I get too bored always doing the same tapes - that rotation has a great variety of videos. I just added in some of the new workouts so I get the best of both worlds!
Anyway, I guess that I shouldn't post in this thread anymore regarding my workouts!! Have fun everyone and keep up the awesome work!!!!

Hi!
Didn't get to check in yesterday. I was home with my son. Fortunately he is better today (His daddy stayed home with him today.) I did Boot Camp yesterday - I usually dread this one but I feel great afterwards. Then, this morning, I dragged myself out of bed (we had another long night, my son wasn't well overnight) and did IMAX2. That is one of my favorites. I am always in a good mood afterwards.

Anyone know where I can find the 16 week max fat loss rotation Sara is starting? I am thinking ahead to find a new rotation after my eighth week on Total Body Blast.

Wanda - I can't wait to see your results. I wish I had taken all my measurements before starting the rotation. I just know that so far, I have lost about 3 pounds. I am very happy about that! I think I still have two weeks to go to make 8 weeks.

Have a good day!

Laura - I am going to try to attach a link to 16 week max fat loss rotation. If it doesn't work, it is located in the Rotation forum under "Cathe's 16 Week Maximum Fat loss rotation."

This new forum is awesome. Before this was available I used www.fitnessvidoefanatics.com and found a rotation called "Cathe's Sixteen-Week Maximum Weight Loss Rotation". I am on my 5th week and I totally see the difference. It uses all Cathe's tapes and you do not get bored because it brings a lot of different tapes into it. If you can not find it let me know and I will type it out.
