Top 10 Movies of 2000

Debra...

Thanks Debra...that little chick and I will both be happy to see warmer weather!LOL

I was watching the news this morning...you guys are getting flooded! I wonder how much biking by brother is doing this week;-).

I had to laugh at your comment for Crouching Tiger! LOL...I have E! on and they just were talking about it and mentioned that it is in Mandarin..I didn't know that!!!...I KNOW, I'll be going alone for that one too...boy, they miss the good ones don't they?! I didn't even want to rent the english version of that wonderful Roberto Benini movie..it wouldn't have been the same. I love the period ones as well:)

Funny story about one of those artsy films. I don't know if you remember the movie "The cook, the theif, his wife and her lover"? I think it caused an uproar because they wanted to rate it X, it was very....bizarre, but I enjoyed it;-). I happened to have dragged my husband and best friend with me...they refuse to let me forget it. When ever we see a bad movie...nancy must have picked it..and they rename it some variation of that other movies title;-)..smart *sses. hehehe

I forgot about Dr.T...I hope to still catch it before it leaves the area...Love that Richard too;-).

I have a feeling that Crouching Tiger will make it here soon...it's getting too many notices "main stream" to not go into all theaters now.

Stay dry!

I'll try

Actually staying dry is less of a concern than having power. We're dealing w/ botched deregulation of utilities here & the huge storms rolling thru this week are "fueling" the crisis. My husband has candles & flashlights everywhere!

Debra, where do you live?

I liked erin Brockovich. Also, Gone in 60 Seconds. Nicolas Cage is my favorite man; although he is too dark to contemplate. (Read that he is divorcing--no surprise.) will watch Family man. Haven't yet.

RE: a little deficient in my list...

That's the one! You and I have good taste, don't we? I was tempted to go see Proof of Life, but I'll wait to rent it. I'm just going to fast forward to look for the scenes with David Morse in them. I think him being all dirty and unkempt will only be yummier!

Nice to know it's not just me! I was starting to wonder, everyone else I said that to thought I was nuts.

RE: a little deficient in my list...

Thanks for telling me about Proof of Life. I will definitely make a point to see that. You are definitely not nuts. I think he's about the most gorgeous man in Hollywood. I would probably feel faint if I ever saw him in real life.

Take care!
Lisa
