I have been busy reading Bill Phillips Body for Life, as well as discussing it with some gals at a fitness chatroom.. I am doing everything right except for two things. 1. EATING nutritious. 2. Lifting heavy weights.
My journey begins today. In the program you take a picture of yourself. I bought a new bikini (they are half price through today at K-Mart) that is a little more revealing than a normally wear, meaning it shows my stomach. DH is going to take pictures of me after church. In the book I have noticed that in several of the before shots people are intentionally looking bad (frowning, no make up, pushing their guts out). My pictures will not be that way. In my pictures I will have on makeup and my hair will be fixed, I will not push my stomach out (but I will not suck it in either). These
pictures will be a true reflection of where I am today July 1, 2001. I will also wear a smile on my face, as I truly am happy to begin my journey.
The book also has you write goals, so here are a few of mine:
1. I can lose my last 10-15 pounds.
2. I will fuel my body with nutritious food.
3. I will lift heavier weights.
4. In the next 12 weeks I will be closer to my weight goal.
5. I will not quit this time and settle for 130.
Here are my vitals for the beginning of my journey
Weight 130
Height 5'3"
bicep 11.5"
bust 34"
waist 28.25"
hips 38"
Thighs 24"
calf 14"
Also I am beginning my punishment/reward thing today as well. If you don't see many posts from me, you will know that I have been bad!
P.S. I am so excitted about heavy weight lifting. I might have to buy some Cathe Weight tapes!
