To those who use downloads.....

Hi,

I am thinking about getting my first download and have a couple of questions:

I1. have an iPod Touch....I have never used it for anything but workouts, like Cardio Coach, music etc. Is it easy to use to display the workout and hear it without earbuds? I am embarrassed to say, I have never listened to it without ear buds...is it possible?

I was planning on downloading Travel Fit to use when we go on vacation next week.

2. I the answer above is yes, any idea of another workout that is good to use for travelling, not a lot of equipment, can be done in a hotel room?

Thanks for your help! :)

Hi there,

The majority of my Cathe's are downloads, however I use them on my PC computer. I'm not entirely sure about the ipod touch, but for PC computers, it IS easy to display and retrieve, and NO you don't need earbuds. I would think that they *might* essentially be the same for both. Perhaps ask SNM in the download forum.

Workouts that are travel friendly IMO are:
Afterburn
Cardio Super Sets
S&G (for wood and carpeted flooring)
Crossfire
Travel Fit (excellent!!!)
Turbo Barre

HTH!

I use the downloads a lot. You can get an iPod to Tv cable that allows you to watch the videos on your TV. I also use Apple TV. I have it in my home gym and it connects to my computer where all of my downloads are. The cable you can probably get for less than $30 (best Buy or even on-line) Apple TV is awesome, but it costs about $100.

Sorry, I meant to write that these devices will make it easier for you to watch the videos....and not have to worry about earbuds, etc. I just was on vacation and was able to do Afterburner, Crossfire, and Core Cardio Circuit. TravelFit is perfect to get resistance in.

When I would travel for work, I would take the Travel Fit for resistance along with KPC or Kick Max for cardio. The crunch part of KPC requires a ball, but you can do standing abs or regular floor ab work if you need to.

All of the above are great suggestions - the HIITs are handy for travel too. I always take the HIIT Pyramid and both HIITs from Intensity as they require no equipment.

iPod Touch

I sometimes use an iPod Touch to watch the Cathe workouts. You don't need earbuds if you are in a small room without background noise. I don't think it would work too well in an open gym, but it would work in a hotel room. Just try listening to whatever you have now to see what the sound is like. Good luck!

Well, did my first download and it was so easy! It plays very well on the iPod Touch, is a tiny but for a hotel room it would be fine. I would get the cable to TV that is available if I was going to use them in the future, but for now this will do.

Thanks again for all the input and help!

You'll love the workout manager! I love my downloads! :D
I started using a component cable with my ipad and my son bought an Apple TV device for my workout room. It streams my downloads (music and workouts) from my computer upstairs to my workout room in the basement.
