I hope you are having a great weekend. I was just wondering if you got the pyramids and how you like them. I hope you get this message.
I know how happy you were to order them. I just love both the upper and lower pyramid dvd. Cathe rocks!!!. One more day off and back to work. I know you think mic is a walk in the part compared to bootcamp,
I wish I could say that. I am thinking I should do MIC in the morning. I am going to try and do it 1x a week for a while, I hope it is easier this time than the last few times I did it. Have a great day tomorrow.
Hi Deb!
I love the Pyramids! I did only did the premixes, but I got a great workout. I feel my hamstrings and inner thighs today, as I did PLB premix yesterday with CK. I am glad I don't need the stability ball. Benda's modifications are just fine for me. I have a question though, does your lower back hurt when you do those glute raises on the ball/step? Mine sure does. I'm wondering if I may be doing something wrong, or maybe my back is a little weak.
My ankle is better, but I have to watch the way I move it. For instance if I scrub the floor and lean back on it, or if I move it a certain way, ouch! No can do. I am beginning to wonder if it will ever be the same again. DH says give it time. But how much will it take. I'm impatient.
Thanks for all your input on the Pyramids, it was definitely a good buy!:7 Hang in there with MIC, I really like the hi/low sections and like to do that with SJP hi/low circuit. That's a good workout. I think what makes MIC tough is the Step portion is pretty long and boring, not like Cathe's newer stuff. It will get easier for you though. Have a great weekend. I feel like CM this morning. It's a gloomy Labor Day here. Bummer!:-(
Sorry to butt in here...but, I had a severe ankle injury awhile back (fell off the step)...it took about a year to feel good & another year to feel basically normal.
It can still complain though, so I guess I'll always have to be careful with it. My doc told me to use high-top shoes for cardio, which I did for the first year...I think they helped.
Soory it took so long to get back to you fab. I am so happy you got the pyramids they are great aren't they ?. My back isn't sore when I do the glute lifts, h'mm, maybe after you do them a few times you will get used to the different muscles you are doing. I use the stabilty ball work out for a lot of different work outs, I have the quik fix stability ball work out and I have the quick fix pilates for abs. I also lay back on one and do crunches, and I do 1 legged squats I love those for my legs. I sure hope you are careful with that ankle of yours. Did you order any of cathe's hardcore yet?, I am thinking I really have to have the kickbox for sure. You just take care of yourself. I never did order body max, but I have pyramids, mis, muscle endurane and wasn't sure if Ineeded them but
I bet a lot of cathe fans that my read this will say It is a must have dvd, I do think it would be awesome!!. I have to be at work early tomorrow, I will pop in tomorrow night to see what you are up too and all the other cathe addicts!!, I know I am one.
Starlight, by all means, butt in! I also fell off my step. I sure hope it doesn't take a year for my ankle to get back to normal. It seems like everyday it's a little bit better. I just am so scared I will twist it again, so I really am paying attention to my stepping when working out. I am also good at flying up and down stairs in my house, but lately I take my time. I do think I lack some lateral support in my workout shoes and that may have to change soon. Thanks for the input!
Deb, I plan to get the High Step Challenge and Imax 3. I just ordered Solid Gold Step and Step This Way 2 from Collage. I will let you know what I think of them. I think then I will be good until Christmas. I gotta get that High Step too! :7 Take Care!
Oh my gosh...I would never wish it on anyone of course, but thank Heaven I'm not the only one who ever fell off the step! LOL
Felt like a complete idiot.
My injury was quite severe so hopefully yours will heal much more quickly if you're careful. Just remember, it will probably always have just that little bit of weakness so be careful with that lateral support.
Enjoy your new workouts!
Ruth
