Cathlete
Hello Cathe,

I am so excited for your upcoming workouts. The High Step Challenge workouts are my favourite and I'm even more excited for new one that will be filmed in the fall..

I wanted to suggest couple of songs your upcoming filming..

Move Ya Body with Nina Sky (this song rocks - featured in the Garfield Movie)
Born to be Alive (this one is fast and furious)
Funky Town
Believe (Cher)
Saturday Night
Little China Girl (Bowie, don't know if it is too slow)
Tainted Love
Car Wash (I know it is old)
I also would like to see Latin songs that make you would go boogie (lots of beat)
Toxic
Footlose remake (that song goes so fast)
Ladies Nights (Cool and the Gang)

If I think of anything else, I will let you know...Have a wonderful day!!!!

I'm not Cathe and those sound like fun songs. :) Perhaps you should look at the Big Beats Web Site, which is where she will be getting her music. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to just use any song you want to use in a production for distribution and airing on TV. Music permissions could take years if you are going for a specific song list, and most of the songs would likely be denied for use in your production. ENTER...Big Beats music and other stock music companies like them. They maintain a library of production ready songs, get permission and sell licensing for publication, and sell to vendors who need stock music, charging one lump fee or subscription fees. In our DVD business, we subscribe to two music services and we also occassionally pay additional licensing fees for one song from the stock music libraries. On the occasions that we have petitioned to use specific hit songs as originally recorded, we have paid over $5000 for use of the song and the permission took several months to be granted and legal paperwork took another month or so. Just thought you might like to know before you spend too much time crafting your wish list of hits. :)

Cathe, will your Hardcore DVDs have a "music off" option? I like most of your recent music picks, but since music tastes are so individual, it would be a nice feature.
