to all who use ww

HI all, I need some help. I have WW for at home. I am at a point that I feel I must do something so I thinking of giving this a try again. I did Jan and Feb rotations. Had small sucess but not enough. I know it's my eating so I figure trying WW again can't hurt.

My one major question is for activity points, if I were my HRM and it says 700 cals burned do you count that as 7 activity points? If that is uncorrect how do you count points?

I thought I read a post that said for every 100 cals burned is 1 activity point.

Your AP's depend on three things... what you weigh, how long the exercise session was, and the intensity of it.

PM me if you want more specifics about what your particular AP value would be for any given exercise.

That's the rule of thumb I use. However, just for myself and so I don't overestimate my AP's, if my HRM says 650 cals, I give myself 6 AP's. In other words, I round down.

So far it's worked pretty well. I'm liking WW - I rejoined on 1/2 of this year and so far have lost 14 pounds. Using the new quiz, I get 4 more points a day than I did before. Those few extras have helped so much.

The way I Understand AP's is that you get 1ap per 100 cals burned. The 3 things the previous poster said only has to be used when you dont have a heart rate monitor.

I'm struggling with my weight and considering joining ww again. This is my busy time of year (I do taxes for extra money), and unfortunatly the extra stress seems to equate into an extra 6 or 7 pounds every year. Luckily I started out a few pounds lighter, but still I'm feeling really a bit depressed about it. Ugh! When I think I've figured the whole thing out it's sneaks up on me again. I want to encourage you making efforts again and making choices for the positive in your life (and me too!).
Another, thought to the above posts. When I figured out the calories per point I tallied them often to be more like between 50 and 75 per point and rarely 100, so personally I would round up and 650 cal's burned would be 7 points. When I was on ww I often felt like it was a struggle to have enough cal's for hard cathe workouts, and it was hard to not lose some muscle on the program. Remember, most people on ww do not do such hard workouts.

I don't have this problem. As a matter of fact, I'm gaining strength, as evidenced by the need for heavier dumbbells for my Cathe workouts.

I should have clarified - I used to feel the same way (weak and unable to complete hard workouts) when I did WW a few years back, but I get more points now, and learned to eat cleaner - it's made a big difference.
