Hey fellow Canadians and other non-Americans! We've got the list to ourselves today! Let's talk cricket, "football", and all things Queen. Let's have a Mr. Dressup trivia contest! Oh heck, let's talk CORNER GAS!!
All right, back to business. This morning I did Step Blast followed by the Timesaver #2 core work. I'd completely forgotten about that session of stability ball pikes. That was a fun surprise. SB was the blast it usually is. Love, love, love that workout. I like in the warm up when Cathe says "Hello, here we are again!". She just has a fun attitude throughout this whole workout.
Mariángeles - how's the injury?
Haydee - enjoy SJP/SB! They are certainly fun!
Josie - how exciting to be so close to becoming a grandparent!! I wish your son and his partner all the best in bringing a new life into the world!!
Sandy - your gym stepping is faster than Cathe? Maybe more like Cathe's earlier stuff? (Body Max, Step Works?). Did you get any comments about your new gear? What workout are you going to do today? Step Blast, or the mish mosh Laurie devised?
Tammy - I would have ignored the door and let the furnace man come back when he said he would! That's ridiculous to arrive 2 hours early. You could very easily have been away from home.
Jennifit1 - I would so look like Cathe if that danged work didn't get in the way!
Anyone know how I can get paid to workout at home? And it has to involve being fully clothed :-D
Laurie - yes, do SuperSets next week! It is just F.U.N.
Jes - I only just noticed the little PM flag this morning! I will read and answer after I finish here. I'm flattered
Good leg workout, by the way! Do you have any of Cathe's lower body weight training? Legs & Glutes in particular is a great workout, with a huge fun factor. Leaner Legs and Pyramid Lower Body are fantastic for getting the job done.
Dutchie - I was wondering where you'd gone. I hope your stressful situations have been resolved? Good luck with your new hookup!
Wendy - don't get discouraged! It's still VERY early days! If you had actually gotten a positive test by now, I would have been extremely surprised. No, I haven't tested yet. I'm 11 dpo, and am thinking of testing tomorrow, but may not. I hate wasting the money when I know that a couple more days of being patient will give me an accurate result. Pregnancy test producers are very aware how hard it is to wait until day 28, and exploit it to their full advantage. How do I manage the waiting period? Ugh! I've done this so many times that it has become a whole different experience than it used to be. My first daughter was conceived on the first attempt. Those two weeks were the very, very hardest. Couldn't get my mind off of it; drove myself nuts. Naturally, I figured we would have no problems with Number 2. Again, I was extremely excited. The disappointment I felt that month was terrible. As the months wore on, I learned not to get my hopes up. To stop daydreaming and anticipating. Creating Baby #2 has become a project; a far different experience than Baby #1. And of course, having a second child is very different from the first. With the first, you have the added dimension of changing your own social identity; the implications of being pregnant are larger than for subsequent children. I'm already a "mom"; now I'll only become a more tired mom.
On a positive note, I think there's a good chance we succeeded this month. My temperature has been following a pattern whereby it looks like implantation probably occurred 9 dpo. It then increased substantially, indicating a third level of high temperatures indicative sometimes of pregnancy. Charting your temps is far from conclusive, but it is *something* to turn to, during this long week. Plus, I got hot very early in Step Blast today; I was cooking, and wishing I had an extra fan to blow on me. I'm also finding my chest is tight, and I'm just lacking "oomph" during my workouts. This is classic early symptoms. Usually this close to my period I have a ton of energy and can power through my toughest workouts. So, I'm thinking things are looking good. But I won't know for sure until probably Saturday. And it's easy for your hubby to tell you to relax: this whole experience is completely different for him than it is for you. He will not be entering the state of "Pregnant Woman." I highly recommend that you read "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine. Hilarious and informative. I hope I've said something that helps!
All the best,
Sandra
