Three times a week for 2 hrs?

Well, I'm back on the forums. I moved to Puerto Rico in December. I'm making arrangements to put my two little girls on a daycare for a couple of hours so I can workout. It seems that it will be easier for me to have them in the daycare three days a week for a longer period of time than having them on the daycare five days a week for a shorter period of time. If I go with five days, I would do one hour of exercise per day. If I go with three days, there is no way I can do what I want in less than two hours. Based on your experiences, do you think two hours would be too much for one day, or the rest days in between will compensate? Do you think that working out only three times a week will change the results in any way? Thanks for your opinions.

Happy new year to everybody. :)

Hi Mariela,

Good to see you back on the forums ! :D Glad to see you are well. I was just thinking about you the other day whilst I was dry skin body brushing and wondering how you are ?

Happy New Year !

Anna :)

Wow! Glad to see you remember me!!! My husband is still here with me, but he will leave to Korea the 18th. I haven't started doing the body brushing and all those things I want to do. I'm still getting used to the new house and getting mentally organized (I have ADD).

I haven't take my weight but I know I have gained a couple of pounds because I can see fat around my belly. :( I have much work to do with my appereance! Taking my daughters to a daycare or something is a must in order to exercise. The medications I take have made me prone to acne and here in Puerto Rico I sweat a lot which makes it worst.

Right now I am concentrating on learning how to drive (standard) in order to take my daughters to the daycare and maybe finding a part time job.

Hope you are doing good.

Hey Mariela!!! Welcome Back stranger!! I was wondering what happened to you but your post jogged my memory.
I think you would be fine doing that. Rest days will make up for it in my opinion. However, I would advise that if you lift after cardio, or I guess even vice versa, try to take in some sugar carbs in between so your gas tank isn't running on empty. Other than that, I think it sounds like a fine plan!!!
Hope things are well in Puerto Rico and welcome back..just in time for the Intensity Series!!!

Mariela - I sometimes work out for 2 hours. My typical time is 1.5 hours. You can do it - you may need to work up to it. It sure won't hurt you! I always do weights first then cardio. The advice of a snack is a good idea, sometimes I feel rather empty and suspect that would help although I rarely pause to do that (want to get it all in!). Good luck with everything and I strongly support you in doing good things for yourself. This probably will actually be fun for your daughters too.
