Thoughts on True Blood

So what did ya all think about the new True Blood episode? I got my husband into it which is so funny because it is so not his thing. Eric is REALLY starting to grow on me. Love his nonchalant atitude, . . yet curious concern for Sookie, . .who by the way is sorta getting a little on the annoying side. Lafayette just cracked me up after he got some of Eric's blood and I'm also loving Jessica's character. Turns out that Maryanne is the bull creature after all but I'm still so curious as to how that is going to play out. Any thoughts on Daphane? She knows what Sam is but has those scratches on her back? Is it possible she was sent from Maryanne? Jason's plot development is going to be intersting. It seems like by next episode he'll be sealing the deal with the preacher's wife, . . who by the way is soo taunting him with her little lacey underthings. Comon who seriously walks around the house at night wearing stuff like that esp with company???

I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Jessica is a hoot!!! I wasn't sure I'd like her character b/c of why she was made - Team Eric chick here. I loved her scenes - making the connection between her fangs and libido, the airport, & her glamoring the limo driver. I do think there is an awful lot of Maryann, and I'd like to see her storyline move along. And of course, I LOVE Eric and want to see more of him!!

Loved the episode! It's enough unlike the books that I don't feel like I already know everything, and it's enough like the books that I wonder how they will portray certain storylines and characters.

I especially like the Maryann/Tara/Eggs/Daphne/Sam storyline, Jessica, Lafayette, the murder investigation, and the Jason/Fellowship stuff. Also love seeing the Sookie/Eric/Bill stuff. I guess I like it all!

And Autumn, I don't know for sure if I am on team Eric or team Bill (they're both so darn cute) but I enjoy Eric too!

Me too, me too!!!! I need a bouncy smilie here. I am lovin' the storylines - I'm just impatient w/Maryann. I do like the actress playing her though, Michelle Forbes, I remember when she was Sonni on Guiding Light. Lafayette is one of my favs too - loved his and Tara's scene.

Oh me too me too! I fell in love with Eric when he made Bill tell her about why they met in book 9. I also love how he does subtle nice things for Sookie like helping Lafayette. I just love the characters in this series and the books. I also agree that I want them to move on with the whole Maryann thing. They've got a lot going on which is kinda giving me hope that the series will last for a good long time. Jessica is just so funny, . . . and young, . . . but sweet too can't wait to see how the whole Hoyt thing plays out. Does anyone who read the books remember Daphane?? I can't quite remember. I read all the books a few weeks ago and now I'm reading Charlane Harris's Lily Bard series, . . . .which is pretty good.

Totally Team Eric over here. And we definitely need to see more of him in the show - great leaping cats, that actor is HOTTTT. T.

That being said, Sunday's episode was one of the best, I think. Crazy Fellowship of the Sun die-hards! Barry the bellboy! Jessica ordering room service! Tara's dirt-eating, cake-face-smashing birthday orgy! It was all terrific!

I think I about busted a gut laughing so hard at Lafayette humping the furniture after getting Eric's blood!
That and Bill ordering a $45 bottle of True Blood just to make Eric pay for it.
