I phoned over to our Sales Centre, which is run by the infamous Queen B and her henchwoman, and in speaking to the receptionist, found out she (the receptionist) had been laid off and will be gone in a week or so. The receptionist also confirmed that Queen B does NOT like me, and told me that when she was being told about being laid off, she was told that there would be a job at Head Office (my office) opening up soon. Well, guess whose job that would be? Yes, it would be mine.
