Hi ladies.

For me, its the beginning of CharLean - Lean Phase. I really like the sound of That! ..........................Lean.

Vilma - I'm loving CharLean. I've discovered her Turbo Jams too. I love her energy and bounce. You'll enjoy her workouts,

Hi to all who follow! Have a great day.

Good Monday Morning Ladies! :)

Andrea - I'll be doing burn circuit 3 today. I'm almost done with my 1st week and so far I'm really enjoying CLX.

I need to look at getting some of those Turbo Jams. Did you get them from BeachBody?
I'm wondering where I can pick a few up as I enjoy Chalene's upbeat personality :) Have you noticed any results with CLX? I'm looking to lose some poundage here

Big Hellos to All the Magnificent 40 Ladies ;)

Good morning! Hope you all had a good weekend. Running around here, also took some time to go to Chuckie Cheese, always a good time! I am getting ready to start Meso 2. I'm scared after reading all the other post about it! I will let you all know! Andrea and Vilma, It sounds like you are both enjoying CLX! Hope you all have a good day. HI to all that follow! I am off to get started! Mary

Vilma -hi. I found turbo jam and hip hop abs on ebay. They are just the basic first DVDs in the series. I am waiting to hear a reply back from BB re International shipping and I've also asked Jen @ Advanced Workouts. PLUS I have signed up with a coach, so I'm hoping out of the three options ONE of them will come through for me.

Re results, I am much stronger, I have muscles! I am beginning to look toned (I don't eat well enough to claim weight loss, so I won't lie to you - no weight loss) I think this Lean Phase is going to be my "results" month. Tough workouts.

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to quickly check-in with everyone. Did some baking at the weekend so I'm working my way through chocolate cake and peppermint creams! Went to Pilates last night and am really seeing a difference in what I can do. It is making a difference to my core strength.

Work is really busy this week - I've got to do some evenings to get it all done.

Apologies for the lack of personals. Will pop in later in the week to chat more.

Hi. Where is everyone? Lisa? Is everything OK? Its not like you not to post. Mary? Murphy? Kathyrn? Vilma? Ronne? Well I know she went to pilates, so she posted as did Mary. But its lonley here!!

Ok its official, my love affair with Chalean is over.

I've completed one of THE HARDEST workouts (weight) I've ever done today!!!!! Lean circuit 2! OMG!! Nothing more to say.

Hi Andrea

You can't get away with just saying that! Come on spill the beans - what did you have to do?

Hi to everyone else out there. Just come back from a meeting and I've got to catch up with the backlog. ;)

I'm here, I'm here! It's been busy here with my DS home from college. We went skiing Monday, everything that could go wrong, did. 1. We rented equipment for my DS and his GF on the way up, we got up there and had 2 left boots! Had to rent more boots, thankfully the first rental place gave us all our money back. Rentals at the slopes are twice what they are in the lower mountain towns. 2. We lost my DS16 on the slopes...he made wrong turn (we were all meeting up at a lodge), I told DH to go after him (he skiis fast) and I would go on to the lodge. They had to re-ride the same lift and take the same trails (minus wrong turn again), well the lift broke was closed and DH couldn't find DS (turns out DS was stuck on the lift). DH skiied around and couldn't find him, DS didn't take his cell phone because he didn't want to ruin his new one he bought (iPhone). Meanwhile, the lift closure screwed up my other DS and GF getting to the lodge too---there I sat for an hour, no food (DH had it in the backpack) and no money to buy anything and starving and worrying. DH got to lodge to eat and give us food while we waited to see if the ski patrol could find DS and get word to him. Nothing, so, DH went out again to find him and found him at the bottom....I guess that DS didn't know where we were meeting (he needs to listen better), at least he stayed put somewhere where we could find him. SKi patrol was worthless IMHO. That leads us to #3. We couldn't get out of the parking garage. It let us in without giving us a ticket but we needed ticket to get out to put in one of those automated things, no one answered on the intercom. There was a worker truck behind us wanting out too, so they used their pass card to get us out, so we ended up getting free parking. So all turned out ok in the end but Murphy's law totally snagged us!

Then Tuesday, DS and I went to dermatologist. It's only been 9 mths since I've been and I had 2 pre-cancerous spots they froze off my face (yea, I'll be looking pretty). I complained about my dried out cheeks, turns out I have roseacea and they gave me some RX for cream for the dryness, of course it does nothing for the redness that crops up. That's fine, the dryness was really bothering me, I had been putting ''Bag Balm" on it at night and my pillowcase would turn into a greasy mess!

Today is dental checkups, hopefully no surprises there. Then to Walmart. So I've been busy just spending time with my DS, it's nice that he likes to go out with me and I use the time to get him to his dental/dr visits since he won't go unless I force him!

I've taken 2 rest days this week, and have no urge even to do a little bit of cardio, but I need to today. I think I'll run for 30 min, spin for 15, then do abs. I think I'll delay starting Meso2 for another few days when thinks calm down (ie son goes back to college).

Andrea - just when I think I won't buy CLX someone says how great it is. Indecision, ugh!

Vilma - are you really seeing poundage lost? You are slim already! I can't budge this last 5 lbs and I'm thinking it just wants to stay.

Ronne - first no exercise, then baking? HOpefully you can get back on the wagon when the remodeling is done.

Mary - I'm a bit nervous about Meso 2 too. I'm no where near rested enough with all the running around I'm doing, so hopefully postponing starting for a few more days will be ok. I'm sure it will.

Hi's to everyone else, Kathryn, Murphy, and whomever else I missed.

Hi everyone! I can't believe Wed. all ready! Lisa, sorry to hear about the skiing! Did you have fun tho? I did disc 13, a lot different than meso 1, but just as fun. Yesterday was kind of burning soreness, today just pleasant soreness. Make sense? I enjoyed it tho. Today is legs, I am afraid!! I'll let you all know! Andrea, give us the scoop! Was it fun or painful? Ronne, I love chocolate cake! What are peppermint creams? Cookies? Love cookies too! Hi to Murphy, Kathryn and Vilma, I need to go change and get busy! Mary

Hi all

Lisa - what a performance! Did you actually get any skiing in at all? Glad you're enjoying your time with DS.
I've actually relaxed about not exercising. My diet is generally pretty good and as there's nothing I can do about the house at the moment, I don't see the point of stressing out about it. And now we've got our new kitchen I want to get back to baking with DD!!

Mary - peppermint creams are sweets - made of icing sugar, peppermint essence and green food colouring and then dipping in melted dark chocolate! Very yummy! And just small enough to grab as I walk past the fridge! ;)

I was going to do some yoga last night but the lounge is now full of building stuff that they've moved out of the extension to do the floor in there :(. Best laid plans ...

For Ronne : Lean Circuit 1 wasn't too bad, I don't heavy enough because I don't have the .5 kg increments. So, I go lower rather than high er in weaight as I wouldn't be able to rep out 10 reps at the higher weight.

Lean Circuit 2 Shoulders and legs. Lots of balancing on one leg, lunges and squats at the same time doing shoulder excercises. Compund moves at a high weight using one leg. I was screaming in pain, and could not finish out the last two exercises of the circuit!

Today, I will do Lean circuit 3. Lets see how I go with that.

Lisa - I'm not sure you would need CLX. You have STS, which is probably very similar. CLX is not confusing and theres no working out your 1rp or whatever it is. BUT the exerciser MUST GO HEAVY! Let me get through the last two phases and I'll get back to you.

Hi everyone,

It has been a crazy week but not nearly as crazy as the time Lisa had. You can't make this stuff up. Anyway, I have not done much in the way of "active" recovery this week. I did lots of "sedentary" recovery. I am looking forward to starting Meso 2. Have a gret weekend everyone.

Hi everyone! Well, DS went back to college so that means I have my computer room back (DH was using it as his office since DS room is his office now). Yea, we are playing musical rooms!

I did RS today, I plan to start Meso 2 on Sunday. It seems like so long since I did a weight workout sometimes I wonder if I'll really be able to lift as heavy as Meso 2 calls for.

Have a great weekend everyone!
