Those leg thingies

I posted this also in the open forum, as I wasn't sure which place would be better.

Haha, yeah, I know the title isn't very specific. I forget the name of the exercises, but they're in the exercise ball portion of PLB. There are actually 2--the first one is the one that works your hams and the second one is the one that works your inner thighs... The first one you have your one foot in the air and the other on the ball and you lift your butt up...the inner thigh one you put both feet on the ball and turn out your feet and bring the ball in.

Well, anyways, I'm not really feeling these where I think I should be feeling them. I feel both of them mostly along the back outer side of my knee area, and it feels quite taunt and I have to stop early because it feels so tight and ...I don't know what the word is...kinda crampy-like I guess.

Just wondering if anyone has any pointers? I think I'm following good form...
 
These make my knees hurt, too. I have assumed it was part of the whole stability ball thing where it calls in other muscles that aren't specifically being worked in order to stabilize your body for the work that is being done in that exercise. But I don't know.

Sorry. No advice. Just sympathy!
 
Ditto. I was concerned whether these are problematic for knees or good for strengthening them. Hopefully Cathe will read this and respond. I'd love to know!
