It's kinda late in the year to be asking this, but I'm curious. Do you set a fitness goal at the start of the year and work at it for a full 12 months?
In 2003, when I first discovered Cathe, my goal was to strengthen my back to help my scoliosis and get off 3 prescription meds. Doctor's orders. I accomplished the goal long before the year ended.
Last year my goal was to get my bench press weight to 60 lbs. It was hard, but I did it just before the year ended.
This year my goal is to work more on my balance and flexibility. I'm hoping that by the end of the year I can do the bridge pose with one leg up. The last time I did yoga, I was able to hold it a full 35 sec., up from 30, up from 20, up from a whopping 10 at the start of the year. I'd also like to be able to do the moon pose without falling on my face AND the twisting moon pose with my leg up.
Maybe next year I can try working on chin-ups? Thinking ahead already.
