This speaks volumes about my in-laws

My mother-in-law takes care of my youngest daughter 3, and watched my oldest 6, until she started school. My girls see my in-laws pretty often.

It was Christmas and time to open the presents. My in-laws were already at the house and waiting for the girls to come and see what Santa left under the tree. We called the girls and they ran...right past the tree and presents and over to hug their grandparents.

How lucky am I?

This also made me VERY proud of my little girls.

You are soooo lucky and so are your girls!!! Take lots of pictures.
I was lucky to have my grandparents in my life as well. I am thankful for that everyday.

My father died right after my second son was born, then my mother in law died 3 months later. My FIL is 86 and not really able to take part in their lives. But MY mother is wonderful. She is in her 70's and visits as often as she can, and calls and sends notes. I am so thankful for that!!!

Hug your in laws and thank them!!!

I'm very lucky to have young parents-mom is 53 and dad is 59-who are very active in my 3 dd's lives. So much so that we've never had a paid babysitter in 9 years! My dad is well known at the girls' school-he brings donuts throughout the year:) It's funny because my dad wasn't a very involved parent when I was growing up, but he is the most amazing grandpa! And I'm still blessed to have my grandma-she's 73 and loves to spend time with my girls. DH also has 2 living grandparents. We vacation with his grandma every year and my 6 year old spends most of her vacation playing games with great-grandma:)

That is so wonderful to hear (read)! Sounds like you have a very supportive family and it's so special they are involved to that level with your children.

It sounds like EVERYONE is lucky!
