If you haven't seen it...stop here..If you have...I have a question about a portion of the episode for those of you who may be more familiar with the law...



Finn (Ice-T) gets spit on during an interrogation by an abusive husband...Could Finn have brought him up on assualt charges for that??? I believe he could have, but not 100 % sure.

Hey Jerry- I just got around to watching it last night--DH & I said the exact same thing! I would be appalled if in "real life" an officer couldn't...
Man was that an intense episode!

Did ya notice Finn lowering the blinds in the interrogation room after the incident??? I thought for sure he was going to beat the hubby to a pulp!!! I yelled out loud during the episode when that happened!

Yeah, I'm sure he could but what's the point? Finn's got much bigger and more important things to worry about and deal with.

I used to work for a bank in an inner-city branch and I got spit on all the time by angry customers. Sh*t happens. Comes with the job, I guess.

I'm a nurse and I've taken a lot of abuse (and watched even more) from demented, drunk or high patients. It's part of the job. I guess it would bother me more if I felt like it was the person's choice and not part of their condition. Nobody's spit on me yet, but I've been hit, bitten, kicked and cursed out.

ETA: That was a hard episode to watch. Sometimes SVU is just so depressing. I find it the hardest L&O to watch.
