Excellent guard dog.

Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore,as there are no more thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat.

actually it is a photo that has been going around for awhile! I don't know if it is a real ad, but it IS a real dog! they are HUGE!

This is an (Old) English Mastiff, 200+ lbs are not uncommon with this breed, especially for males. I have seen them at dog shows and they are HUGE!

My husband wants an English Mastiff and I have researched the breed. I found they do indeed get that big!

I don't have a problem with the size really, but I found they slobber a lot. I've watched several youtube videos and they are always slobbering.
I can deal with hair, muddy paws, and a big dog, but not slobber!
My boxers only drool when they are watching me eat.
I think the slobber is the deal breaker for me. My DH is sad, but hey....boxers are perfect for us and they are a member of the mastiff family
