This is why I hate rain

I had just finished laundry and ironing, changed the sheets, moped the floors, got done with my housework and started posting on the Cathe Forum when I heard a lot of commotion. Here is the reason for it. It was raining this morning and my DH (D doesn't stand for "dear" right now) didn't turn the sprinklers off

Who would have thought that I made my bed this morning?

Well, here we go again, no hanging out on the Cathe Forum, start doing laundry again, mop the floors. Never a dull moment:+

Carola

The dogs jumped on your BED??? OMG I would be flipping out if they did that to my bed (or making my husband do the laundry this time }( . Wow, good luck with cleaning your cute doggies!
Laura

OMG!

But, they are adorable. I would have my DH clean that up. You know what I mean? Don't let him get away with that. The little stinker.

Then give him a big kiss and hug, and tell him to never do it again.;-)

Carola -

I am laughing uncontrollably at this right now! Our Akita does the same thing. She not only has her OWN bed to mess up, but she makes rounds through the house to our bed and then flies through the house and does circles from the coffee table to the couch. You can't help but laugh 'coz ya just love 'em!!!! But the mud does fly!!!

Sorry it was after all your hard work cleaning and all. :(

Carola,

I'm a lurker here and have only posted a couple times but I just had to respond to your post. I honestly feel your frustration x(
Your two pups are just as cute and GUILTY as my two dachshunds. I literally spent my whole entire day yesterday cleaning up after them. I had to steam clean areas in my bedroom and livingroom, wash my furniture slipcovers and go to the laundry mat to clean my comforter! I finally went to bed around 1am...EXAUSTED!!

Funny though how today has just been full of hugs, kisses and treats. They're so spoiled but I wouldn't have it any other way...they're my babies :)

Chastity

Oh my goodness... what a mess!!!

But they do look awfully cute & they look very sorry for what they did too...:p :+ :7

Now, your DH on the other hand...

Good luck!

Kel

I love my doggies to bits, but they don't get on the furniture and they don't get on my bed. No matter how cute they are:p

Shelley,
PLEASE tell me the secret to getting them to mind!? I guess I already know...I'm just a pushover, and my 80 lb golden is just too fun to cuddle with. He even has his own couch:eek::eek:. This morning I found him sprawed out on his back, kind of twisted, smiling, AND snoring.

These pics are so priceless Carola!! Your Tuxedo looks like "OMG, she sees us!!!" I love it, but what a pain to clean up I know. Thanks for sharing!

I thought you guys would be laughing! Part of me actually was cracking up too, the other part however ...... let's not talk about that}(
I guess what happened is that on top of the rain, one of the sprinkler heads had come off and they were running around and digging, trying to have it stop (there now is a big hole right next to the sprinkler).

While I was still on the computer, they started running in circles and knocking everything off, including knocking down the garbage can that I had by my front door to take out, so all of the garbage was flying over my living room. Then they chased after each other and jumped on the bed, rolling around and trying to get the mud off.

I know it is hard to believe but they usually are pretty well behaved. They are allowed on the furniture (I can see you roll your eyes Shelley :) ), aside from the 4 dogs I have two messy boys and a messy husband, so who cares :+

Janie, you gave me some good ideas here what to do with my DH, the problem is though they are MY dogs, he didn't want them - at least so he says :+, especially when it comes to clean up :+

Have a terrific day everyone!

Carola

Welcome to the forum, Chastity, I am glad my picture made you respond. You sound like me, clean up until the wee-hours (sp?) in the morning.

How old are your dachshunds? I actually have 4 dogs, 3 of them are on the pictures (I know they all look alike :) )the 4th one doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore, he is already 9 years old - he used to get into all kinds of trouble though when he was younger - and just shaking his head at the little ones. Two of the Mini Aussies just turned 1 years in November and January, the other one just turned 2. I guess there is still hope :+

I know what you mean, my dogs are my babies, too. However, they did get into trouble today!! They looked pretty guilty, didn't they??

Take care,

Carola

ROFLMAO!

I have a friend with 4 dogs (3 of them big'uns) who lives in the country, and she's always telling me how much laundry and floor moping she has to do for this very reason!

(They do look like "who me?" ...unless that demonic glint in their eyes ISN'T a reaction to the flash...bwa ha ha!}( )

I did take some of your guys' advise and blamed my husband, just emailed him the pictures and said this is what happened since you didn't turn off the sprinklers. Here is his response

"Your dogs> besides it is also raining. You didn’t take them to the dog park did you?"

Little stink, I did too take them to the dog park, like I do
EVERY day, I may have missed 8 days since April last year.

Husbands, I tell you}(

Take care,

Carola

Aren't pains is the *#(*$(#*? hahahahha
Those pictures made me laugh so hard! They are so cute, you could never be mad at them! ha

Oh yes, I could be mad at them! I am as mad as a hippo with a hernia!! But unfortunately I am also laughing!! They just look too cute and soooo guilty!

Never a dull moment at my house, that's for sure!!!

Carola

I have the big version of your pups and oh yeah, he can get into trouble! So cute, though... Love Aussies... Bestest dogs ever created.

Edited to add - okay, maybe not the bestest - but certainly the most entertaining. As you say - never a dull moment!

Carola,

Thanks for the laugh! Very cute dogs too.

Shelley - yeah, my dogs don't get on the furniture or the bed either. Hahahahahahahehehehehehehehohohohohohohoho!!!! AS IF!!!!!

I most certainly feel your pain! I have a golden who loves to stomp around in mud and dig too! ACK! x( I leave towels near the back door for the sole purpose of cleaning his paws when he comes in the house...and sometimes that's not enough and I STILL have to clean up after him where ever he goes...x( x( x(
