When they discover the center of the universe, a lot of people will be
disappointed to discover they are not it -- Bernard Bailey

Fun!

Mine is "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe. I have no idea what that song is. I decided to click on the British flag too and it was "Heard it Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye. At least I recognize that one!

On the day I was born:
Unchained Melody - Les Baxter and Dance With Me Henry - Georgia Gibbs shared the No.1 spot for two week's. Egads!!

#1 on my 18th birthday was Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree - Dawn

Well, I think it's safe to say that I'm older than most of you:eek:

Michele

How interesting "To Sir, With Love"! One of my very favorite movies. Lots of memories of the Beatles and such! Would NOT want to go back there, however! I was pudgy and VERY shy, and enthralled with my future husband whom I SHOULD have realized was a jerk!
Just Do It! :)

LaG-
If I remember that song correctly, it goes like this:

Dizzy
My head is spinning
Like a whirlpool
It never ends
And it's you girl, making it spin
You're making me dizzy.

LOL!

Intersting. The fun part is that no 2 are going to be the same!
Mine was 50 Ways to leave your Lover, Paul Simon
To be honest I've never even heard it. Sigh, I like Paul Simon though.

Kathy

Kathy-
You must be a mere baby if you've never heard that song. It is permanently etched into my brain:

Just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
No need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me.
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
and set yourself free.

Are you a freedom lover, Kathy?

My Mom says that while she was in the hospital the day I was born she kept hearing "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis Presley on the radio and I've always thought of that as my theme song. I think it's ME and I ain't givin it up for Sunshine On My Shoulders. LOL. :p

This is so wierd!!

Mine for the US is Delta Dawn - which is what my older sister used to always sing to me because my middle name is Dawn.

The British one is Young Love by Donny Osmond - I used to sit and watch their show all the time, was a member of their fan club, had the barbie dolls, lunch box etc...

THIS IS WIERD!!!

tee hee these old songs... I think "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" has a permanent slot on my brain too.

Mine's "Tonight's The Night" by Rod Stewart. Fitting I guess for a chronic procrastinator :p
