Cathe, I am an avid fan of yours. I stopped going to the gym because I get more out of your workouts, both cardio and weights. I am also an aspiring figure competitor. I love your physique in the HardCore Series. Could you share with me or at least give me some clues on how you got to that look. It was definately a more stream-lined muscular look than the previous series (i.e. Boot Camp). Did you do more heavy lifting, less cardio, more intense cardio?? Thanks,

Kristen
Columbus, Ohio

Hi Kristen. Thats purely a combo of as heavy of a weight that you can handle along with the cleanest high protein diet you can handle. Once you get that clean in your diet, the veins start popping out everywhere:)

Cathe, thank you for the reply. I am already very muscular...just a little petite! As I siad previously, I love your Hard Core series. Yesterday I made my own arm workout using triceps from C&T and biceps from BSB. OMG! My arms are SOOOO sore! }( So, just keep eating a higher protein diet and intense training should do the trick? What about the cardio? Should it be the higher itensity stuff to elevate GH? Also, how did you get your abs to so cut up. Again, any and all knowlegde would greatly help me.

P.S. Today I did my kickboxing--bootcamp workout. Plus my own
shoulder workout using Gym Style BSB and MM. AWESOME! Thanks
for being there. I ALWAYS get such a great workout with you!!
(K,P,C + KM blast + BC (2x) and then I added 4D kickbox)

Look forward to hearing from you. Take Care,
Kristen

Hi Kristen! You sound highly motivated and that's awesome. I noticed that you wrote that you are an aspiring figure competitor. If you are really serious about becoming a figure competitor I strongly advise getting a trainer to help you set your goals, push you to work for those last 3 reps, and assist you with a customized nutrition program. If they don't offer the nutrition end, seek out a clinical nutritionist who will fuel you with the proper stuff to accomodate your energy output.

As far as cardio, this all depends on what phase you are at in your training. Again, a trainer will map this all out for you according to a specific plan that takes your right up to your competition day.

Good Luck!

Cathe, Hi! Actually I do have a nutritionist. He is a professional bodybuilder out of Rochester New York. I bascially do my own workouts and utilize him for the nutrition part. I am already quite strong, with muscles, I am just a little compact!! This is why I was asking about how you got to the physique of the Hard Core. This is what I am shooting for. I will take your advice and keep pushing myself...anyways, working with you, I always get a hard workout!!

Thanks for emailing me.
Take Care,
Kristen

Hi Kristen, I'm originally from Rochester and I worked with Bob Chicarillo (not sure of the spelling). He was a professional body builder too.
