Thinking of cutting my hair!

No, Ouidad is not that expensive, especially compared to other curly hair products like Alterna, Phyto & Ojon. The smaller bottles--I think 8-10 oz--run about $10. And you can get those huge professional size for I think about $30. (www.ouidad.com)

Hi Michelle,
Haven't heard of it, but I looked at the website and it looks pretty impressive. West 57th Street! That's the creme de la creme. Looks pricey and wonderful. You can't survive in that area without being great.

My salon is the one on the TV show What Not To Wear.

Hi Nancy,

WOW!!! I would let Nick cut my hair in a heartbeat. I don't think I've ever seen him do a bad cut on WNTW. Has Nick ever done your hair?

By the way, your style is very cute. My hair has been short and layered since the 1970's. I'm trying to grow out the layers, leaving some long bangs and wisps around my face. I just feel like I need a change. I told DH that sometime in the next year I want to go to NY for a good cut and style.

Hi LauraMax,

Thsanks so much. That's good to know because I was really gearing myself up to go there. I do love the products. The Deep Treatment and Curl Quencher conditioner have made a big difference in the condition of my hair.

Hey curly girls--what products do you like to use on your gorgeous manes?

Michele

Thanks Laura. No, that's not bad. I've been using Redken Spin Control after I put that in I use a little spray gel. That helps keep the frizz down. I'll check out the web site.

I forgot who said it I would love to drive with the windows down! LOL! I save that for the straight hair day.

So, Lori what did you decide to do?

If you are tired of it I think you should cut it, but go slowly as the person said. I think it is a shame when women are stuck in a hair rut. There is wiggle room in just about any person's head of hair for a change, even as you take into consideration what looks good with your face. You don't have to go short short, just an inch or two. It will grow right back if you don't like it. Life is too long to have one haircut for the rest of your life!

I know women who have looked the same for 15 years. Usually it is very very long and they have come to equate their hair with their identity.

If you feel like an updated do, I say do it!
