Well hope I don't bum ya out Wendy, but I'm Baaaaaaacccckkkkkkkkk !
LOL about your DM experience - for some reason right now since I'm not doing the 90X I am feeling like kicking myself in the behind a bit and really "going for it". We will see how long that lasts . . .
Just had to get in my last few words of the evening . . .
Finished up my floorwork from L & G and then went for another round+ of "24" while walking on the TM. Went 4 miles in 60 min and added in some "hills" here and there until I got tooo tired !
Feelin' good.
So quickly,
Ang - I'm at the 50 year mark and things in my bod have switched themselves up like crazy. It's making me crazy trying to figure out what works these days. In fact, I have spend the entire calendar year so far playing with different eating habits (not giving up the beer/wine

) and also different types of workouts. Have only taken off one full week plus a few consecutive days (due to work or sickness) and after Alwyn and 90X for rotations of at least a month, it just doesn't seem to work for me. When I go back to Cathe after one of the aforementioned, I slim down.
Since we are "new friends" I am not sure how many of the youngin's you have running around, but I have 3: DS - 23, married with one son and another on the way, DS - 21 still at home & DD - 19 who seems like she is still trying to "find herself". They are all alot of fun. That being said, oldest is an Asst. Mgr at a Pet Smart (local animal retail store), DS #2 is the one that had the CHP interview (seems like it went OK but only time will tell - please cross fingers and toes for me

) and he is a local Cust Serv Rep making $10+ an hour - did take some Admin of Justice courses at the local CC but not many, and then my DD who is a Vet Tech - enjoying it (but only making $10+ which is barely enough to survive here in CA )and after her 3rd call in the past 3 months that she has lost her living arrangements, I think I finally talked her into trying to "find" a lucrative career (nursing - cross fingers and toes again please !) !
All mine are smart but don't enjoy the books. I am a college grad and totally believed in it back then, but at least here in CA, it is almost a given these days. Mind you I was one of those SAHM's who was thoroughly involved in their elementary school, classrooms included, and coached or helped the coaches with all their sports. We all played roller hockey and on Sun, my current DH (not their father) coached and reffed them too.
My point: We did the best we could, they are really fun "kids" and though the may not be the most motivated at this point in time, they are pretty much making it on their own and haven't been into any trouble.
You are doing great from my perspective as one who has BTDT and most importantly, you are trying to give Cam very decent and respectful morals with which to live by. He is young, but in a few years you will only be guiding and it will be him making his own decisions based upon the wisdom you have given him.
It is soooo very hard to let them "fly on their own", but you only hope you have given them enough to make good decisions, or at least decisions that won't hurt them too much in the end. Remember . . . we have all learned by mistake and really never stop as we come across new obstacles.
OK - I take back my earlier "quickly" and will get down off my soapbox. I am so enjoying this cycle of life - and now that I have been through some of what all of you are currently going through, would like to share in case I can help in any way. I have always been one to listen to whatever anyone has to say and then decide what I will take to heart and what I take with a grain of salt.
Hope y'all had a great evening - I did and I am happy about it!
See ya in the AM - I have Low Max and that one exhausts me too ! I am sure the old buns will be feeling it by the time I get to work.
