The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

I have not seen the movie, though it's been in my netflix queue forever. I have, however, seen the parrots. I used to live in SF in the Noe Valley area, and the parrots loved the trees on my street. They were also often at the Cow Hollow playground where I would sometimes take my boys. We'll watch it someday, and it'll make us miss the city. We went from SF to redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. Now we have chickens!

We got it from Netflix! I think you're going to really like it a lot...and, yes, you WILL miss SF after watching it.

My mother has a parrot and recommeded this, gosh, forever ago. We did watch it. It was very interesting!!

Yea, Christine -- I knew there had to be locals here. We are loving living up here -- we're off Summit Rd., bordering the Soquel Demonstration forest. Do you have kids?

Wow. I read an Belgian expot blog and she just recommended this movie! Brussels has several flocks of parrots in the green space here and for a midwestern girl it's cool seeing a parrot in the city park.

That was interesting. After watching the trailer I remembered the parrots that were in a small little park across from the Embarcadero last summer when DH and I spent our anniversary weekend there. We were roller blading and all of a sudden there were parrots flying all over between 3 - 4 large trees.

Was sooooo coool ! We have had four birds, lost our peach faced lovebird and Nanday conure, but still have our blue fronted Amazon and Harlequin Macaw. My son has 3 birds - they are so fun.

Thanks for sharing - looks like this one is going on the Netflix list !

Just watched this last night and it was a great show. Sad ending for the guy. Ordered it thru my library and had it in 3 days.
