The Terminator & Hardcore Extreme DVDs...

What do you guys think of these DVDs? I've had Terminator for over a year and it's not even open, and Harcore Extreme I have only done once. I workout completey to Cathe and toss in some running for marathaon and race training, but it's soley Cathe's DVDs for me.

I'm seriously thinking about selling them off, since I don't use them and could use the money for something else.

BUT...I always get intrigued when I try to sell stuff off! LOL

Any opinions?

Gayle

Since I got a heart rate monitor I've been going through and doing all my workouts to compare them to each other. I did HCE #3 for the first time on Tuesday and it blew the others that I've tried (including Imax 2 and Bootcamp)away as far as calorie burn. I can't wait to try the terminator and other HCE workouts now.

Thanks, so far, for your responses. As I was loking them up in detail on this website, I was getting more and more interested in trying them out.

See? Doesn't take much to convince me. Maybe I'll try them out for a little and THEN decide what to do with them!

THANKS!

Gayle

My issue with these workouts is they are just too long. I don't have that kind of time and I'm not sure I have that level of energy, lol. I had the Terminator and I traded it off. Every now and then I feel a twinge of "I sure wish I had that," BUT the workouts I got as a trade (SB/SJP) are used ALL of the time, so it was a good trade for me. I think if you're not using them and you want something else, go ahead and sell for something you really want and is not so much of a stretch for you right now. You can always purchase them later if you change your mind.

Good luck!

Gayle,
I love both of these DVD's, but I'll admit I use the Terminator more often than HCE. I just like those workouts in their entirety (although I do enjoy breaking up the KM blasts into 5 and 5 rather than all 10 at once). Also, don't really like switching my step height b/n Imax 3 and Lomax intervals, it is a nice excuse for a break though...
Anyway, I love, love, love all the Terminator workouts, but I think Imax Extreme is my fave as Imax 2 and CW are old favorites of mine. You have to at least give them a try before letting them go, or the laws of the universe will require that you regret it later!
Plus, either the Viper of the Gauntlet (can't remember which) provides enought lower body work to pretty much qualify as freestyle mixed with your cardio.
Have fun!

Gayle -

Maybe I should simply mail you my rotation for this month. LOL. I did Gauntlet on Monday, HCE # 2 Tuesday, Viper Wed, off today, and HCE # 3 tomorrow. For sheer calorie burn, HCE is unbeatable (it's also tough!), and I'm doing a circuit rotation this month - and the Terminator has some of the best circuits. HCE # 1 is great too - but not as weight intensive I've found.

I'd definitely revisit these DVD's. Add them to your rotation for a month to see how you live with them, then if you don't like them, off to eBay they can go...

I agree with the switching of the step height on one of the HDE workouts. That's the single one I did once and didn't like the interruptions.

OK, OK, I'll see what I can do to try these out at least once before I sell them!

THANKS AGAIN!

Gayle

p.s. I'll take a look at any rotations you guys are using or (have used) with these workouts!
