The snow is insane!

This storm is definatley like the blizzard of 96 revisited!!! Holy cow! It's impossible to tell how much even fell coz the winds kicked up big time over night and there are snow drifts EVERYWHERE! I can't open my back screen door right now and snow managed to blow under my screen door in the front so there is a pile sitting in my house when I open the inside door!! lol Thank goodness my DH started snow "maintenence" last night or he'd REALLY be in for it today! I feel bad enough for him already. ;( :-(

My crazy mom went down to a/c on friday afternoon for the weekend. How she intends to get in her front door when she returns today is beyond me! lol Unless she has a shovel in her trunk so she can dig her way to her door! :p

Yesterday I shoveled like a maniac. Last night the wind blew it all back! Well, not ALL of it, but a heck of a lot!

So today, after I watch the new Tom and Jerry movie with my kids, back I go to shovel.

Jeez I feel for you guys! There is not a cloud in the sky and it is going to be almost 80 degrees today! Come visit! I have never lived anywhere with snow and think I would have a breakdown if I did. I am going rollerblading today...

Me too! I dying for some warm weather and sunshine. Maybe we should all hop on a plane and join Marion for some rollerbladin and a few drinks.

Wendy, no offense, but your Mom does sound nuts!

I'm actually enjoying this forced vacation. Something about looking out the window and knowing I CAN'T go out is causing me to relax and enjoy my down time. Having Cathe workouts sure makes that a lot easier, of course.

I've been working out, cleaning closets, posting on the Cathe boards, schmoozing on the phone, and last night I watched Spiderman 2 on pay-per-view. Great movie!!

My DH keeps sending me camera phone pics from Colorado, where it's 61 degrees today, and I'm not even jealous. He can have his gorgeous weather, I'm happy being a snowed in snowbunny! :D

Anyone else enjoying the snow (which, btw, I'm sure I'll be complaining about tomorrow when I actually have to go out)?

Actually I just came in and it's really a beautiful day. It's cold, but the sun is out, so it doesn't really feel too cold. I shoveled up the snow that the wind blew around last night -- then I stayed out and played with the kids and the dogs for a while. I took some pictures. I'm going to try to set up a "picture trail" and post them there.

Days like this are really wonderful. The snow makes the air so fresh and clean, and I love how the thick covering of snow makes everything so quiet. And the deep blue sky and sunshine is beautiful.

No offense taken at all, Nancy! She IS nuts! She called about a half hour before they expected to head home to find out what kind of snow we got up here. They have a shovel in the car in order to dig their way to the front door! LOL Can't wait to hear from her later to see how the drive home went for them.

Just thought I'd let you know that in the great white canadian north where it was -32C (-25F) yesterday, it is now +4C (+39F). What a beautiful day! I was so happy to get outdoors and take the dog for a run finally.

What's going on with the weather?
