The Party Thread

After I read this thread I found myself mentally making my list, so I decided to share it....(by the way, I can't shake the image of the "rectangular gals in fuzzy slippers carrying candy bars and smiling at each other while getting paid obscene amounts of money" that is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time).

1. the words I would hear most often from my husband would be "you look better than the day I met you and I love you more each day". That would be followed closely by "what else can I do to help you?"

2. at 7:30 pm every night, my children would come and give me a hug and tell me they were tired and wanted to go to bed. They would proceed to put themselves to bed with sweet, dreamy smiles on their faces.

3. Every morning I would awake to find the dishwasher magically empty and the clean clothes folded and put away.

4. The fashion industry and magazines would declare that jeans and sweatshirts are the newest in-look. Also, unwashed hair swept back into a ponytail. And no make-up would be considered the ultimate in beauty.

5. Society would believe that older women look wise and sexy when they go gray.

6. Love handles would be deemed "lovely".

I could go on and on, but there's a start.
Have a great day everyone.

RE: Bobbi, you spilled my coffee!

Nancy, in a perfect world, I would laugh as much as I have reading and participating in this thread. My son was getting mad at me because I was cackling like a peahen and couldn't really explain what it was I thought was so funny. The King returned last evening from a 5 day visit to his parents in Florida so I am going to have to resist the call of the computer and behave!

:7 :7 :7 I'd rather DO the sweeping, Bobbi. Although I think he might not like it as I believe he prefers blondes, which I'm not. If you watched the extended version of The Two Towers, he asked for a strand from the head of the Lady of the Wood -- I forget her name now -- before he went to battle. She gave her three. Darn it!:7

In a Perfect World...

1. I would have the time and money to travel all over the world.

2. Every day, fairies would come to clean and otherwise maintain my house and yard.

3. I would be a gifted singer/songwriter.

4. My 20th great novel would just have been published.

5. David Swenson would often solicit my advice on various yoga postures.

6. Cathe would do the same regarding perfect ab exercise form. ("Would you mind demonstrating stability ball pikes just ONE more time, Susan?" "Why, of course, Cathe. First you...")

7. I would be able to do more than six on-the-toes pushups:p !

Don't sell yourself short, Pinky. Galadriel is gorgeous but she's sort of scary too, edgy, ya know? What man (or dwarf) wouldn't be happy to know a beautiful, fit woman wants to sweep him off his feet? And then there's the whole leaving Middle Earth thing. I don't think dwarves can go to the Grey Havens so Gimli's foolish to pine for the Elf chick. Besides, I prefer dark-haired, dark-eyed men but if Robert Redford or Brad Pitt made eyes at me, I'd be most flattered. I'd indignantly tell them I am married to a handsome, swarthy man but I'd be THRILLED! But it's a moot point since you are a married woman and, in a perfect world, do love triangles exist? Forget the dwarf and stay with your husband, Pinky! :D

" Success would also be measured by how kind and gentle you are. The most highly paid and powerful people in every company would be the ones who are the nicest and the most nurturing"

This one is great! (they are all great but this one really caught my eye!)
