Have you had a chance to skim through/peruse or read a review of "The New Rules of Lifting" by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove of Men's Health?

Interesting and thought provoking concepts.It's not new information but new periodization templates for individual goals. I can easily see how combining your workouts in a specific format and time frame can achieve these goals.

Worth a review for an expert like yourself.

I really like this book, too. It nicely bridges the tradtional-weight-training/functional-fitness gap.
