the life expectancy of a shoe

Umm jes? Im taking a chance its the good old sandshoe where talking about

Sooooooo

Heres when I toss them:

They really really smeel so bad, even the flies dont hover

Your big toe pokes out - and you always have chipped polish on that toe. Never a good look

You have no track shin left, so you might as well workout on ice

They were white..........now there black

"Baby Spice" high plateform sandshoes are no longer in fashion and its time to let go................

Hope this helps

I usually change mine every 3-6 months. Depending on what kind of wear and tear I have on them. But usually it seems more like 4 months or so.

Aila

The average is every 6 months. What I do every year in January when stores like Lady Foot Locker for example have discounts I buy two pair and two pair of insoles (usually Dr. Scholl's Advantage Sport insoles) and I use those for the whole year. Keep in mind that I buy insoles so that's why each pair lasts about 6 months. Without the insoles I'd say about 4 months. Don't blame me blame Cathe! hehe:)

and also...

Even if your shoes look in good condition that doesn't mean you shouldn't replace them. If they lose their cushioning (you can always notice that when you're doing high impact cardio and your ankles start to bother you) then it's time for a replacement.

What can I say jes!...............I have BIG LONG toes.

And Ive been told, that big long toes are a sign of 'high intelligance"

Nah!!

I made that up

I JUST have "sorry ass" big long toes.

I go with the six-month rule for workout shoes or no more than 500 miles for running shoes. Someone posted a great idea which I've adopted: I write the purchase date of the shoe somewhere on the sole (for me it's in one of the cool side grooves on my New Balance crosstrainers). That way you'll know at a glance how long the shoes have been in use.

thanks ladies. excellent advice. i was sorta hoping it was a shorter time span so i could justify buying some more....but what the hell?! i don't need an excuse do i?
