the IMAXes

Hi everybody,

I am eager to try imax 1, 2 or 3 - and am wondering which one to try first. I am also choreography-challenged (very!) and am wondering if any of these is easier to follow than the others in terms of choreography. I am drawn to imax 2 because of all the wonderful things people have said about it, but not sure I can handle it.

As far as choreography-wise, IMAX 1 (Interval Max) is the easiest and has the most athletic choreography but it is more intense than IMAX 2 (the easiest intensity wise).

Intensity (high to low):
Imax3
Imax1
Imax2

Easiest choreography -- Imax1. I would rate Imax2 and Imax3 as the same level of choreography.

for easiest choreography go with imax 1 but i feel like this is the most intense one. you will love it. i feel imax 3 has more complicated step but definately doable if you practice. imax 2 is my fav. what helped me learn (i too have choreography issues) is to do it on a lower step and only do the timesavor workouts so essentially i split the workout up into 2 separate workouts.

Ann,

I think Imax2 would be a good choice. For one thing, if it is too much for you right now, the Cardio and Weights workout is on the same dvd with Imax2, and it is easier. It would make a good bridge into doing Imax2. I love both of these workouts.

Also, when you get to doing Imax2, you don't have to do the whole thing. You could just do some of the intervals, working up to doing the whole thing.

Hope this helps.:)

I noly have Imax 2 although I will be receiving Imax in the mail today, yippee! I love Imax2, it is so much fun ane time flies! Melissa

Thank you to everyone who replied! They all sound great - I think I will start with imax 1 since I usually like an athletic style the most. I don't mind intensity - if things get out of hand I just march in place and watch for a while - then join back in as soon as I can and work my way up into doing the whole video eventually. All of these videos sound like fun! A lot to look forward to.
