the firm

I didnt mind the workouts with emily, allie and jen in them. I think those came with the stick. I think the ones after those series is when they really began to stink. The transfirmer series I think is when they really got bad. I cant believe the remaining instructors are going for this stuff. Like allie, she has been with the firm for a long time now. too bad, because they where once great workouts and are what got me into wts. I will always thank them for that.

Really? I actually thought the Transfirmer series was probably their best. The cardio portions of Allie's workout in that series were pretty lame (way too simple), but the other than that I thought the videos were great. Pam's Supercharged Sculpting is the single most efficient sculpt video I've tried - she manages to hit every body part decently in 35 minutes. I have to say, even though Cathe totally gets the job done, sometimes she takes way too long to do it. Body Max 2 clocks in at 97 minutes! As far as I'm concerned a video should be able to take care of business in under an hour, 70 minutes max, which is something Firm has always done pretty well. I also really liked Jiggle-Free Buns and Arms. Nice splits to put with some cardio.

I do like jiggle free arms alot. I didnt really like the second transfirmer workouts too well. I agree about a workout should be able to hit every muscle group within 70 minutes.

I've not done a traditional FIRM video in ages because Cathe blows everyone out of the water (except my favorite step instructor here in ATL! Ha! They're about equal!).

But, FIRM classes are great: I took one in February or March (back when it was open in downtown Cola) -- As usual, lots of variety and surprising "tweaks" to exercises to add flavor. However, I can't stand the "high impact" b/c it's wayyyyy too much fast impact on the joints (who still does that stuff!!??), I prefer plyometrics for cardio on the floor.

Overall, from what I know, Cathe is seamless (You can always modify and lighten up if necessary) -- And, I'm guessing her "real" live classes are just as superb. I'm impressed over and over and wish her nothing but the absolute best!!

""I wouldn't touch a Firm workout with a ten foot pole."
Or, do you mean "their versatile sculpting stick?"

Or how about this one: "The sculpting stick is a great tool for touching our latest crappy DVDs and weights with"

"Do you love that they recently released a 20 minute (!) "sculpting" video that used ANOTHER version of the Sculpting Stick?"

But it's a NEW AND IMPROVED sculpting stick! See, just change the color to green, and tweak the weights of the separate pieces by one pound, and VOILA, you've got a whole new and better product, "Guaranteed to deliver new and better results!" NOT!!!!!
