Hi Guys and Gals,

Quick question.
I bought this book yesterday b/c someone on here recommended it.I want to start tomorrow but I have only managed to read about 1/2 of the book. I know what food choices I get and I know at what times. What I am on sure about is how much. The other problem is, I need groceries.Pretty hard to start a diet if you don't have the food.
Can someone give me an idea of what I can eat tomorrow? I am at work all day.I can probably manage to get out to get a salad but thats about it. I have the basics in the house, oatmeal, eggs, bread
fruit, but I have no veggies.I was away all weekend and I splurged with the intentions of starting clean tomorrow.I can get to the grocery store tomorrow and i will also read the rest of the book.I just need guidence for one day
Can someone pleeeaaassseeee give me a food plan for tomorrow?

Thanks a million!
Lori

Hi Lori,

I've been on this plan for about three months and it works really well for me and I hope you find the same for YOU. If you can get out to grab a salad, I would recommend a grilled chicken salad, with light or no dressing if you can. Or, if you can get to a grocery store yogurt with some plain, unsalted almonds would be good too.

Hope that helps a little...Good Luck!!!:)

Salad with vinegar and oil (I have the Abs Diet Guide and not the full-fledged book, and the Guide recommends 1 part olive oil to 2 parts acid, such as lemon juice, vinegar, or orange juice).

Oatmeal with fruit and honey

almonds & berries (if you've got them)

protein shake (if you have one)

2 eggs and 2 pieces whole wheat toast.

Lean hamburger with salad for dinner.

By the way, don't worry too much if you can't follow the diet faithfully on the first day. Do what you can do, and then jump in full force on Tuesday after you've gone grocery shopping.

Also, I don't know if you got the full-fledged book or the smaller "Eat Right Every Time Guide", but as I stated, I got the smaller "Guide". This smaller version (paperback) includes recipes and is absolutely packed with info. I can't imagine what more could have been said in the bigger, hardback version.

Additionally, the lady at my local GNC told me to be careful with flaxseed if you've never used it. She said that some people get carried away with it and eat too much in the beginning, and this makes them sick. If you've never used flaxseed, stick to smaller servings until your system has adjusted. This lady explained to me that flaxseed cleanses the body, and too much too soon is a shock to the system. I think the amounts in the Abs Diet recipes are small enough to not cause big problems.

The abs diet is a book I bought (b/c of the great people on the Cathe site). It incoporates certain foods. There are 12 foods he calls power foods (more like groups) that you can choose from (2 per snack or meal) You are aloud 3 meals a day and 3 snacks. One of those snacks being after dinner. At least you don't have to go all night long chewing on your finger nails.
I don't have the book finished yet, although I put a good dent in it last night. It does tell you things that you are already aware of.Things we know but don't apply all of the times until he makes you aware of the dangers of some of these foods. He claims that you can lose 5-8 lbs in the first 2 weeks without working out. Most people in the book lost between 10-30 lbs in 6 weeks (its a 6 week plan)
I had to buy it. I have let my eating slip drastically in the last couple of years. I use to be so disciplined. Now 1/2 of my calories come from picking at sweets and chips. Also letting myself get to hungry.

I hope it works and I hope I can stick to it. I have a wedding in Aug that I am standing for.The dress is strapless so i don't want to feel like a chunker.I am also going to try and do a rotation with it.
Lori:)
