thanksgiving shopping

Ok guys, what are the best days for shopping around thanksgiving.

I will be travelling to Miami on the tuesday before thanksgiving and I wanted to get a idea of when is the best time to get in some good shopping. Also what time do the malls open and will they be opened on the actual thanksgiving day.

What kind of shopping are you thinking of? Food for Thanksgiving day, or Christmas gift shopping?

LOL when I read this, I thought you meant GROCERY shopping!! I can tell you, Wednesday before Thanksgiving is not the best day to do that...

I meant shopping for things in general - clothes etc

Amy, years ago I was a checker and I cannot tell you how crowded our store was on Thanksgiving Day....right up until closing! I will never forget the lady who came in at about 7 pm buying all the fixins' for dinner including a FROZEN turkey...she thought she would have enough time for a late dinner that same night. I tried to explain how long it took to cook a turkey, let alone thaw one. She was a bit sad about the whole thing, but still bought it all thought she would try to make it by 9.

Ugh! Work in grocey a while and you will see just how badly some people can plan.

If you can get it done this week it would be best. No picked over food and greater selection. Plus most stores have the biggest bargains now. I love the holidays. In my family the holiday season starts on Labor Day and goes until Valentine's Day. Absolutely love it!!
