Thanksgiving Poems--Any Suggestions?

Good afternoon all!! Tomorrow evening, I have a networking event to attend and I have been asked to open up the evening with a Thanksgiving-themed poem or short excerpt (can be motivational ;( or comical :7).

Let me tell you...I am having a heck of a time finding anything on the internet. I did a search for "thanksgiving poems" on google, and haven't really come up with much.

I was wondering if anyone out here in "cathe-land" may have ever come across an interesting poem or excerpt that you wouldn't mind sharing.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!;)

Year after year after year
I go crazy!
Every Thanksgiving
I sit with the babies!

It's the little kids' table;
The table for tots,
Where my mom makes me sit
If I like it or not.

The table for grown-ups
Is fit for a king,
With goblets
And giblets
And gold napkin rings,

And bread rolls and salad
And dressing with drippings,
One glass just for drinking,
And one just for sipping!

But here all the kids
Drink from Styrofoam cups,
We eat small turkey bits
That our moms have cut up.

Our plates are red plastic
And so are the spoons,
And we eat by ourselves
In a small dining room.

He's big and fat and wobble wobble wobbles

He's big and fat and gobble gobble gobbles

But once a year when Thankgiving's here

It's my turn to
gobble Gobble GOBBLE!!

Well, it ain't Yeats, but my 1st graders like it!

THANK YOU very much for taking time to give me some suggestions!!! I was thinking that this was such a random request, that I may not get any responses...but thank you for the suggestions.

Perhaps I will use both!!!

Have a great day!! :7
