Greetings All,

I've been lurking for the past 7 weeks or so, reading countless posts and reviews. I wanted to say that thanks to those of you who participate on this forum, I've learned so much. From DVD selection to shoes to flooring to diet ~ almost every single question I've thought up can be answered with a quick search.

I very much appreciate the time and effort you and Cathe have put into this online community. I'm a new fan of Cathe's and the DVDs I've recently purchased, but I have to say the information and encouragement this forum provides greatly enhance my experience.

Looking forward to both participating online...and some day moving past my weenie 3 pound weights! :+

Welcome!

You know, I'll bet you could easily use 5# for chest presses and lat rows (those are two big muscles groups). Why not pick up a pair of 5# weights today, and try them out for those particular exercises? Come on, you can do it!!

Heh. Actually I use the 3 pounders for some tricep work. Though the 7 pound dumbbells I struggle with for biceps is nothing to brag about either. :D I have "Pyramid Upper/Lower Body," and the bicep work just about kills me. I love the faces Cathe makes.

Welcome Sunshine!

Hey, those 3lb weights feel like concrete after alot of reps! Feel free to chime in with any hints or tips you come across......I'm always looking for a snake oil to fight the middle age metabolism!!!

Welcome!!

I planned on staying about a week when I first found the forums, it will be a year this July since I signed up. It is so cool to be a part of a group that shares the same idea when it comes to fitness.

you are really gonna love it here. I joined a little under a month ago and have become addicted. The women on here are so loving and believe it or not can help lift you up when you're feeling down. They've helped me many times already!
Regarding your 3# weights: Don't feel bad girlie! We all started at about 3#. I now can curl 40# weights! So believe me when i say, you'll be lifting 20s & 30# weights before you know it. ;)
Look forward to learning more about you!
And again; WELCOME!
